Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming and only planned expansion Phantom Liberty is almost here, and with it an experience CD Projekt Red are hoping will provide a drastic overhaul to the base game’s established gameplay, mechanics, and narrative.

Wholesale changes have been reported in Phantom Liberty’s setting, narrative, gameplay, character customization, and so much more. This feature aims to highlight 15 of the most drastic changes players can expect when diving into Phantom Liberty, with the entries chosen based upon how meaningful their change will be to the original game.

Most of these entries represent huge improvements should CD Projekt Red pull them off, and if they do it’ll represent a complete about turn given Cyberpunk 2077’s awful original release, one which has taken nearly 3 years to fix.

  1. The only thing that confused me with this expansion, the game has multiple endings for V and Johnny. How will this tie in? Is this going to be the new ending? Is it going to be after one of the previous 3? Does this mean one of the other endings in canon?

  2. I hope they implement much of the cut features from the base game. I was majorly upset you couldnt crawl against wall with the Mantis Arms. Really the Monowire, Mantis Blades, and the Gorilla arms are really nothing more than grafted melee weapon and dont offer anything beyond what a equipable weapon already provides.

  3. There are great improvements, I luckily had few issues on old gen Xbox one X, I now play on Series X. Love the game even during the problem launch….however there are still a shit tonne of things that need polish in this game that unfortunately probably will never come now and I believe it’s just slightly too ambitious. Still a great game and I’m sure future games In this world will be incredible.

  4. I don't have a good feeling about the DLC based on the fact CDPR said it's a separate story line which means whatever decisions you made in the base game doesn't affect the DLC except the ending and as for the cyberware it is more than likely only available on the DLC because you can only get it from the DLC on a second note they reworked the perks which probably means they nerfed a bunch of stuff again after all of that there's no point in starting a new playthrough

  6. So they should be redeemed for giving us what we should have got launch day. No, you need the holy's company's accountable. If you don't care what you do after that, the horses already out of the barn. You should have closed the door hand and we shouldn't have to pay for your mistakes and I go to all game companies moving forward. Stop playing with us or we'll stop playing with you.🔥🔥🔥🔥

  8. Cyberpunk worked fine on Current Gen @ Release. The issue was CDPR being forced to put a Next Gen game on PS4 & Xbox One. While also being forced to give everyone the same experience (Make This Make Sense) How is it okay that current Gen consoles were forced to play a lower quality game just so it could work on outdated systems. Some goes for Hogwarts Legacy it could have had more features but they're also putting it on the switch so what did we lose on PS5 & Series X to make that work?
