Let me know in the comments if you guys are able to replicate the glitch!
Totally saving this for when I get there on my playthrough.
does this work with the new perk tree introduced in phantom liberty
completely baffles my mind that CDPR just didnt have a vendor with infinite perk/attribute shards in PL. the game isnt getting any more content, just let us have fun with it. i ended up just using console commands after every few missions after hitting the cap to keep the flow going, but good to see theres an option for console players.
This works without phantom liberty?
0:52 you get +one from Quake and +one from Wrecking Ball o_O
I don’t think it’s tied to this side job. I was fucking around with resetting my perk points while just chilling in V’s apartment. I noticed sometimes for the main nodes that require 2 or 3 perk points to unlock that I’ll get an extra one when refunding them. Idk what causes the extra perk points to be acquired out of thin air. It could be the 12 perk shards you can find in the world (10 in base game) or the 10 you can unlock from the skill attributes (at lvl 15 and 35 for each skill line) not registering properly.
I will note that this only works if you refund the perk points manually, if you use the reset attributes it’ll reset everything but won’t grant you those bonus glitches points.
Super easy to replicate. No missions or anything funky required. Fastest way I found to do it is to have tech ability at 20. Max out far right and far left columns that have 2 or 3s. Back out and quick save. Go back in and manual refund. Then they dupe. Back out and quick save then repeat over and over. I got so fast at doing this I’m doing it every few seconds. Over 110 points rn lol
i been playing around with this for like 1 hour now, and have been reading the comments.. so firstly, i DO have the expansion, but i havent set foot inside dogtown yet at all. so its not related to those 2 specific perk shards… 2nd its not related to any particular perk it seems to happen to me quite randomly, just fill one of the trees you have 20 in up completly.. quicksave and start removing them quickly, it seems to be a matter of clicking while its still trying to remove a point from somewhere,, it seems spamm clicking is the way to go… and i allso havent been able to do it consistantly… i have no reflex or body skill, so those trees i cant test.. but its worked in all the others..it allso doesnt matter if you are in a mission, it doesnt help to do the sweetdreams mission at all..i tried loading my save from that mission and it works about the same frequenzy 1 out of 5 times or so…
after more testing it seems tobe the perks with 3 points in them that you can click fast 4 times… but order seems to play into it.. but you dont need to fill out the entire tree and refund it, you allso dont need to save, in order to do it again.. i used the cool tree, and only juggler and ninjusu seemed to give the extra point.. but it looks like you need to fill the tree in the right order and remove them in the right order. allso i found a gamepad to help with the clicking speed. if your a slow old crippled guy like me :p
How did you max out your attributes?
Theres 82 perk points available in the game. 60 from levelling, 10 from the skill tree levels, 10 from perk sharks around the map. 1 is from the dogtown vendor and the other 1 is from the "Dog Eat Dog" mission – its in a crate early on in the mission.
I go to the area but dont see stefan. Are there previous requirements to activate this mission. Im in Act 2 and have the DLC as well.
That one comment by @sq1dwrd147 showed us a way to replicate it, and from there I refined it further. Detailed steps below.
You just need to break 9 attribute points with an attribute that has at least two main perk columns with at least one of those columns having at least two multistacking skills unlocked.
To understand this, here is a step by step example:
1. Get Technical Ability to at least 9 attribute points.
2. To confirm that you have done the glitch correctly later, take note of how many perk point you have right now. You need at least 5 free perk points; if needed, refund them from elsewhere. Refund all perk points from Technical Ability, in fact, to make everything cleaner.
3. Now you have to the next steps in the exact order given below. Doesn't matter how slow or fast you do it, you just have to do it in the correct order. Add 2 perk points to All Things Cyber. Don't add to any of the branches.
4. Add 1 perk point to Glutton For War. Don't add to any of the branches.
5. Add 2 perk points to Health Freak. Don't add to any of the branches.
6. Exit to the Character menu screen. You don't even need to exit out to the game menu, just to the Character menu screen.
7. Go back to the Technical Ability screen.
8. Refund all perk points from All Things Cyber.
9. Now here is where the magic is: refund Health Freak. You will notice that you get an extra perk point from this, this is the glitch. To reset the glitch, refund all of the perk points of Health Freak.
10. Refund all perk points of Glutton of War.
11. Exit to Character screen.
12. Check the number of perk points you have right now and compare to when you started. You should have 1 more perk point than before.
13. Go back to step 3.
As you can see, this can be done very early in the game, at least level 6. You just need at least 9 attribute points in either Technical Ability, Reflexes, or Intelligence. And yes I just checked the glitch on those attributes as well; there are specific orders to do them too.
For Intelligence: max Acquisition Specialist → max Embedded Exploit or Hack Queue → refund all Acquisition Specialist → refund all the rest
For Reflexes: max Ready, Rested, Reloaded → max Dash → refund all Ready, Rested, Reloaded → refund all the rest.
Thank you for finding this and thanks to the rest of y’all testing and refining it.
Cool, unfortunately not for me it doesn't. But I didn't try V's mega building apartment. I have more perks than I know what to do with now so I won't need to try again.
the quest isn't appearing for me
Awesome thanks
How many perks do you need to max everything out? (I don't want to count :D)
Easiest way to do it outside of the mission. Have at least 15 reflex. Upgrade the main three rows up until you hit the 15 capstone perks. (Sharpshooter , air dash, and finisher:blade runner) refund all the perks you just put into these and voila, you get two free points! You’ll notice you’re getting the extra points from air dash and dash, but make sure to put points into all these main trees and refund them all to get the most out of the exploit!
a little tip you dont gotta do the quest just spam reset your points
There is also another faster way i found. U need 20 tech, and to do this glitch you need to max out the big middle perks (do not touch the SUBperks!) and leave it like this. Second step is to take all Big perks from right side (but not the car one), and then do the same on left side. Remember to not touch any SUBperks. After you maxed out right side and then left side, you manually refund from (!!!) right side, only then left side. Aaaand, repeat it. First Full right, then full left, right refund, left refund. Easy, no missions, no need to save etc. (dont touch the middle once you start to dupe)
Lol so atm it is possible to get infinite money, skill xp, cyberware capacity, and perk points. Nice xd
Do tou hsve to respec preicsely as you were before?
This work in 2.0?
Got a cool glitch? for you. When you near Cherry blossom market and you get crime stars, just flee in one of those cooking stalls and all stars disappear
Essentially, You want to get to the big perk where when you refund it, the counter doesn't decrease for the first press…so if the perk has like 3 level, you're pressing refund 4 times, and that where the extra point comes from.
I wonder if this will work for earlier versions. I'm running v1.11 and have never done this side job because I was smart enough to read up on it first. But if I can gain an advantage from it…
So messing around a little with the Tech tree: filled out all the main talents, then refunded them.. It looks like if you're fast enough, the game eventually needs a second to catch up and see that you refunded points. That lag seems to be where the extra talent point comes from when going from the last 3/3 talent to the last 2/2 talent. So for Tech, it was always Health Freak I got an extra point from when refunding everything from right to left. If this makes sense. I'm tired, may not.be completely coherent.
just use wemod and insta unlock all perks its realy easy
