Well, to make this short: this 1.6 Update has worsened performance for me, at least, due to unknown reasons. The Patch notes (https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/45280/edgerunners-update-patch-1-6-list-of-changes) claim that “some settings adjustments have been made to increase quality”, or something like that, and nothing more: it is ambiguous, weird, and performance is worse now in 1.6, compared to the previous update, 1.5.
As seen in both the Benchmarks I’ve done, and the gameplay sections, it is indeed a substantial reduction in performance, so we need to drop some extra settings or use a lower DLSS profile to compensate, sometimes…it’s not possible, though.
I really hope they realize about this issue and fix it, really, I’m guessing it’s not just me and more people will be a bit confused.
As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you in the next one : )

Worst?!?!?
Y yo pensando que ya era buen momento para probar cyberpunk por fin, seguiré esperando… Gracias por el testeo
Wonderful video!
I love your videos but this one Is an exception so detailled and a lot of effort put into it! very thorough yet easy to follow. you showed a problem and you presented a lot of solutions to it. I REALLY love it.
seems like a bug? how could Psycho and Ultra SSR be the same performance hit? With Ultra being even worse at times?
Also why is balanced dlss using 1.5GB more RAM than than quality dlss?
i dont understand, my performance actually got better with the update.
ryzen 9 5900X
ASUS TUF 3060ti
32GB Corsair Veng. Pro.
and nothing is OC.
100+fps 1440p ultra settings with rtx on.
Dont you worry salty 3080 owners, new gen GPUs from AMD and Nvidia will fix this
Driver ?:/
I thought it was just me. I figured I did something wrong with my settings or something.
I've noticed A LOT of changes and problems as well.
I also hate how I how crafted & upgraded my sniper rifles all for CDPR to downgrade the performance of all sniper rifles. Kinda pisses me off but I get by alright.
I've also noticed that the AI is a lot more challenging. I'm A-OK with that. But why downgrade weapons when the enemies are much stronger now as well as the cops. Cops are a lot more alert and present now and will chase your ass. I'm pretty partial to everything. Lots of pros and cons to this new update. I'm sure they'll make more corrections later on in a few weeks.
what the fuck is that update, i used to play on 1.5 and i hit 90 fps on ultra with normal 3060 and over 70 around while speeding through the city, now i cant even pass 60 , and fps are around 55 – 50
I just uploaded myself a 3060OC benchmark too and yes , in 1.6 the performance dropped around 10% in the same settings . Too bad i never saved a benchmark in 1.5 for show it as you do .
The last time I played before 1.6 was on my 3070, I just bought a 3080 12GB, fires up cyberpunk on 1.6 and the frame rate was pretty much what I was getting on the 3070 in 1.5, I was very confused until I realised that 1.6 must have performance issues.
I'm playing on 4k and the performance is terrible compared to 1.5.
I upgrade my cpu to12400f + 3060ti. after 1.6 patch – minus 4~8 FPS with 1440pUltra+RTSS Balanded+RT Ultra. I find some strange thing about dlss – now i see no difference in visual quality between DLSS quality and DLSS performance, almost no blur unlike before, only FPS gain. If this a new implementation of DLSS with better quality or strange bug, who knows
I get the same issue with a Ryzen 5900X and a 3090 FE and I can't explain the performance loss. Annoyingly, it doesn't look like enough people are complaining about it so I don't think this will be fixed by CDPR, it appears to be setup related at first glance.
That being said, object pop-in is better with 1.6 (presumably the spawn distance has increased for certain objects) but if the performance hit was caused by this then everyone should have noticed…
What do guys think
Is the i7 12700kf better/stronger then the r9 5900x ?
Note you are also running different driver settings. This can also affect things.
3900x with 3080 here on 3440×1440, granted I went in guns blazing with new mods for 1.6 but hot damn. The performance hit was so eye watering, I used to be able to play so smoothly now I felt like I have a low-mid tier GPU.
Nice it's getting worse lol
how to fix fps drop in assassin's creed odyssey i have 3060ti and r5 3600 16 ram I have I tried 2K and 4k the fps is still the same even if it was in 1080p I am getting below 40 fps sometimes
