Cyberpunk 2077 PC Patch/Hotfix 1.05 tested on Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1070
Greetings, everyone.
A new update / hotfix has been released this weekend for CP 2077 on all systems, so let’s check if things have improved or not here on my usual PC specs:
-CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (stock settings) with Coolermaster Hyper 212 Black RGB (w/2 fans, push-pull).
-Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC.
-GPU: Inno3D Twin X2 GTX 1070 (stock) and WHQL driver 460.89.
-RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (2x8GB) CL16 DDR4@3200 Mhz.
-Storage: PNY XLR8 CS3030 1TB NVMe (O.S. and game), Samsung 750 EVO 500 GB.
-Case: Fractal Design Meshify S2 (Intake: 2×140 Front, 1×120 Lower Front – Exhaust: 1×140 Rear, 1×120 Top/VRM Area).
-PSU: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold.
-O.S: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (v.2004).
-Monitor: AOC AGON AG251FG 1080p-240Hz.
You can also check how the game runs on my RTX 3060 Ti, as of Patch 1.1 (January 2021): https://youtu.be/fS7OwXAu7vg

As we can see in the video, and comparing to my previous one testing the 1.04 patch, I don’t experience any substantial performance differences, at least not for average FPS. You can check my previous patch video here: https://youtu.be/eChErFvTdjQ and, apart for small differences because this game does not have an “on rails” benchmark, there’s nothing substantial to claim it runs better or worse: it’s basically the same, but now my Ryzen 5 3600 is making more use of SMT and the load is better balanced across all threads.
I suspect that those people with similar, or better CPUs than mine (as in the 5600xt, also a 6/12 piece), and more powerful GPUs, may have seen better results from this fix for SMT, and also because I’ve seen the benchmarks from Gamersnexus testing this at Low/1080p on an RTX 3080, and they get improvements, but then they get zero performance increases pre and post fix at 1440p with better settings…as expected and it’s the same applied to my results: I am very GPU bound even at 1080p on this GTX 1070, so at best maybe the min FPS have “improved”, don’t measure those unless there’s some serious stutter or frame-pacing, which I’m not having in CP 2077, so If they have improved, those 0.1 and 1% lows…it’s not doing much for me as I don’t really experience any hard FPS drops because I’m already at relatively low’ish FPS, anyway, unless I play at Lo settings.
In any case, a fix that may help other people is welcome, and I anticipate more fixes and stuff in the coming days, hopefully I also get a patch to make all the keys usable instead of me having to edit xml files or using mods. Now that, to me, would be a decent improvement, lol, and other Quality of Life features this game seriously needs.
As usual, I hope this can be useful to any of you, and I’ll see you in the next one : )

Pretty much same PC specs as mine, I got 1060 and the same CPU and got a bit worse results. I've found that turning off Screen Space Reflections boost up a lot the FPS cuz if it's not on max it looks weird and it takes more that 15 FPS of. So I'm playing on medium/high with no resolution scaling, and no screen space reflections. It looks more crisp and runs pretty smooth.
My custom settings are based in Gamedebate FPS by percent of performance cost. I have the best FPS possible without sacrifice quality.
All effects activated/texture high
anisotr. 16
local shadow mesh high
local shadow quality medium
cascaded shadows range medium
cascaded shadow resolution medium
distant shadow resolution low
volumetric fog medium
volumetric cloud quality medium
max dynamic decals high
screen scape reflections quality high
subsurface scattering quality high
ambient occlusion medium
color precision high
mirror quality high
level of detail high
Fidelity cas dynamic max 100 and min 90.
Smooth mostly all time at 60fps and look great.
Thank you for the update 🙂 Good luck getting your new GPU.
I think the patch did good for me (i5 4670k @ 4.5ghz, 1070) not dropping under 30 at least is great. Using the dynamic fidelity FX with 80% minimum scaling, which I think helps but according to Digital foundry it seems to not work as intended. Also, thanks 🙂
Man, I'm a point that I will mimic and buy any hardware that you will buy in the future.
Great video as always!
great work as always my Spanish brother , but somehow this game doesnt seem to interest me now , after watching videos on how DUMB the AI is within this game it feels so disappointing , i mean i have experienced GTA 5 , NPC in ubisoft THE DIVISION , GHOST RECON WILDLANDS , and Watchdogs 2 in general , i dnt wanna upset any fan boys but these games have a much much HIGHER level of AI . the AI of GTA and the police chase is way too good in terms of police chase , even the police chase in watchdogs is also so good , its hard to shake them off . despite being an RPG CYBERPUNK 2077 is still an open world , and should be compared to GTA 5 in terms of NPC , in terms of interactivity and Dynamics as the game was marketed as a benchmark of gaming and open world . regardless of all the bugs , the game still looks unfinished. all these gameplays of Cyberpunk make we wanna go and play GTA 5 and appreciate all the details in it .
man SCI FI is my favourite genre !!! and i honestly get very angry when this genre is badly received whether in games or movies . tbh witcher 3 is a good game but it never appealed to me , i couldnt relate with it apart from emotionally , but the world wise , i have spent more time hunting the same GODDAMN snapmaw in HZD than hunting in W3 , i just levelled up from level 18 to level 42 !!! just by hunting and hunting and exloring and collecting gears since UH mode makes u grind more shards and resources and hence the struggle for tier weapons. it feels so good the combat is still good , even the run animation and the flow is so good.
the comabt in this game is so fluid , and i frickin love it , i dnt know why people are complaining about the gun play , its look so good , i have played DL and this gameplay definitely reminds me of that . the guns and the sword feels so good , the impact and the sound design is so soft and ASMR . i hope they fix the AI and bugs
I like your resolve about this information.
Staying on the hunt for performance and detail not bad.
Keep up the hard work.
A RTX 3060 TI would make a huge difference.
Have you faced any colour banding ?
This footage doesn’t look bad… It looks like a fun game… maybe I will buy it for Christmas break. Has the game sucking been blown way out of proportion??
youve got exactly same fps like my r7 3700x
Just found your channel after watching the doom eternal video. Really in depth testing. Keep it up man.
Do you think performance-wise these patches are as good as it gets? I also have a gtx 1070 with an i5 and want to buy cyberpunk just unaware whether the focus of future patches is to boost performance/optimization or they're just fixing bugs at this point.
How did you use the oc scanner?
I tried it on my 1070 but it just gives error code 22h and stops.
Patch 1.2 just dropped a little while ago. A lot of bug fixes.
