  1. This is a fun sales tactic: "we can make game engines so ineffective that you will NEED super expensive GPUs to play games". Well that is a tactic, but I really hope that reviewers will just call out this BS and refuse to use these settings when comparing which GPUs are actually good and which are not.

  2. Sorry but this information is wrong. Frame generation is there to help the CPU bottleneck not the GPU. As the cpu cannot produce enough fps to bring the gpu to its limits, the gpu uses this left capacity to produce the interpolated frames (or as you call it "fake frames"). So the right information would have been that the CPUs out there cannot handle the RT overdrive effects in 4k.

  3. Curious to how they'll sell "real raytracing" next time
As you need 10 minutes to render one frame with actual raytracing, this will never end. Real-time RT is the new sisyphus' trial

  4. This is so weird marketing, very advanced rendering methods just exists thats the fact, however why would I push such thing in my actual product gaming marketing when my most powerfull hardware just isnt able reliably do the job and instantly goes from hero to zero performance level? Its great technology it realy is, however showing its inneficeny at this moment for the sake of its existence, can easyly damage its theretical value and more seriously its credibility in public. Lets be honnest when its performance sucks on 4090 so heavyly then its realy far away from any reasonable practical use for waste majority of custommers or gaming developers , it can ne like 4 + gpu generations away for majority

  5. How does my FE 1080ti does better then a 4090 did with ray tracing off? Seriously those frames are so bad Even at 4k 1080 I got did about 67fps how the fuck does it do 16?

  6. I mean the Devs themselves literally said it's mostly to future proof the game. Also how it's only for the highest end and DLSS locked. I see nothing wrong tbh. You don't need it to enjoy the game, you don't lose anything in terms of gameplay. Also… It's still very early adoption, all tech starts this way and someone has to be the first to adopt it.

  7. This is madness. Nvidia needs to stop. I hope they funded this update and not CDproject. God is this a waste of manpower. Most people arent even using RT. Now we get better RT that only runs on 4090 with DLSS3 enabled. This is a feature that might be used in 2 years to benchmark GPUs. I hope AMD can do something here, Nvidia is loosing their mind. They dont know how realitiy looks like anymore. Maybe they should ban VR use at work or smth.
