Join Tom Morgan for the definitive breakdown for Cyberpunk 2077 on *all* of the last generation consoles. Xbox One, PS4, Xbox One X and PS4 4 Pro are all extensively tested and re-tested, with the 1.2 code compared to the last 1.1 milestone. The result? CD Projekt RED has optimised – and there are improvements, especially with PlayStation 4 Pro. But with the other systems, there’s still much more work required.

  1. Tom is busy talking about pop-in and missing lighting with the car shootout footage and all I can pay attention to in the slow-mo shot is V reloading an invisible mag into their gun on the PS4 Pro side, lol. He keeps trying to explain things but bugs that are happening in the capture while he's talking about something else keep distracting me!

  2. So they removed even more graphical fidelity to somehow boost the miserable framerate to levels that are still not stable … a game that already had to take critizim for it's downgrade
This deosn't bode well for the future patches

  3. What kind of analysis is this?! Why are you applauding this update for the fps boost if they achieve this results downgrading the visuals?!
It doesn't seems to be a Digital Foundry kind of analysis….

  4. What about performance on PS5 / Series X???

I know there's no specific next gen version yet, but it'd be nice to know how these consoles handle the game with the new patch.

  5. @Digital foundry Barely have texture loading issues make sure you guys have about 30 percent free on your hdd. Also delete cache and hard reset your console. Might have to double check these same scenes and compare to see if I have those problems.

  6. It’s a shame they’ve just had to strip the world of detail in order for it to run smoothly. It’s never gonna be a win win situation is it. I still think that the graphics are just too good or unoptimised for the PS4 to run, so I’m just surprised they haven’t lowered the quality in more ways than merely changing LOD.

  7. PS4 Pro still shitty missing so many sections and the One X is better but not worth buying. Why are people still buying this game for these older systems knowing it's a hot mess? Try to get a new Gen Console or a PC and wait for the PS5/Xbox Series versions of the game. I played the game on a PC and it's cool, I still get more out of GTAV.

  8. Doesn't look like such good news to me. Sure, framerate is more consistent but the cost of that looks quite significant. Like scene @2:55 looks so bad on patch 1.2 compared to 1.1 it's not even funny.

  9. Why doesn’t CDPR just focus on the 9th Gen. I get that getting a Series X and PS5 is near impossible but trying to run this game on the 8th Gen is just a waste of time. Get a locked 60 frames performance mode at 1440P and a locked 30 FPS 4K with Ray tracing mode just like Miles Morales. Stupidly preordered this and got a refund. Hopefully they will have a fUll PS5 version in the fall.

  10. When is the last time you've ever seen an Xbox One X perform worse than PlayStation 4 pro it might have happened every once in awhile but never to this extent this is Ludacris and it's an obvious way for them to get back on Sony but they kind of pooped on us XBox guys because we do have the stronger system and it should be running better.

  11. I'm sorry but saying the PS4 Pro is leading with 20% of the frame not being rendered is a joke. Driving looks like Night City actually became NO light city. The cut backs are way worse in my opinion and make the game unplayable. It completely destroys immersion. So I don't know Tom, but I just can't get your enthusiasm here. Sure the One X performance are still terrible, but the game still looks like it suppose to. You can't just take things away that completely remove any life in a frame and call it a day. What is going on with CDPR right now…

  12. Strange just tested missing those lights on the floor in the alley. The ho sign loads slow if I run in the area but in normal walk/sprint it's there. Running In also the red table and chairs is there for me but missing for digital foundry. In the shooting scene where you shoot van I don't have the same texture loading issues everything seems fine. I'm on ps4 pro.

  13. It’s kind of amazing how both Bethesda and CDPR (two companies that were quite heavily respected among the gaming communities) could absolutely thrash their reputations with a single game release.
