This is not the official DLSS 3.5 release for Cyberpunk, I’m replacing the binaries in the game folder with the ones available here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
This DOES NOT enable the ray reconstruction feature that was talked about a few weeks ago. We’ll have to wait until CDPR implements it into the game to see the faster response with lights and what not. Until then, this should give you a small preview of the new technology, at least what is available now.
Since I’m so excited for patch 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, I thought I’d download the new DLSS binaries and wander around night city! If I’m wandering the city I might as well make an Overdrive comparison! Subscribe for videos when 2.0 drops!
This is max settings at 4k with DLSS quality, frame generation on. Sharpening at .5. All Post processing effects off, motion blur, lens flare ect. All settings pushed to max, so psycho SSR.
Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most talked about games on release, and it’s quickly becoming one of the most talked about games again with patch 2.0 coming soon. This patch is supposed to revamp the game completely, down to new police systems and perks. This is a free update that is coming out just before their new DLC Phantom Liberty, which costs $40.

the difference doesn't worth the drop of performance
Finally great comparison of off/rt/pt!
Is this DLSS 3.5 with the A.I. denoiser on?
Is this 2.0 patch?
Useless marketing bull shit from Nvidia…
RTX and DLSS are only ways to rob you. Nobody which has powerfull graphic card (>3060Ti) really don't use this shit. It's blury and ghosting kills all the impressions.
Look at the guy right side here in this video at 3:21.
Also even the best card in the world (4090) with rt od and without dlss has 15-20fps (in 4k res) (40fps in 1440p) in cyberpunk, lol.
how dumb you have to be to have a powerful card and instead of the original 4k/1440p with a beautiful and detailed picture, use dlss/rtx and have a 1080p picture, which is upscaled to 4k/1440p with a lot of graphical artefacts, flickers, interference and ghosting….
3:19 the ghosting on characters is insane
Since I upgraded my PC, I play Cyberpunk with RT overdrive always ON (Avg fps 85). The improvement in the lighting is dramatic. The loss of about 40 fps against RT Psycho (Avg fps 125) is acceptable. The gameplay is still very smooth, no latency, or stutter issues at all. I hope that Ray Reconstruction will add even more visual improvement.😊
this is not 3.5
Let Nvidia cook! 🔥😤
3:20 holy macaroni, what is that ghosting on the moving characters xd
thats why it feels off when cyberpunk rtx release… now it's really awesome with overdrive
ok… 4090 and you have a hard time getting 60 fps… How normal human gonna be able to.
This makes the characters so much more believable, its crazy how much of an effect proper lighting has on characters.
You need to wait for the 2.0 patch for Ray Reconstruction since it requires dev implementation, just adding DLSS 3.5 doesn't enable it.
Input latency kills OD for me tbh
It's incredible. Will DLSS3.5+FG+RTOD give playable framerates at 1440p on a 4070?
I wonder if someone else also feels the same as me when I say that without any raytrace it looks really good? Lack of contact shadows is making me lose my mind but everything else is necessarily the original polished artistic vision. They knew the consoles and most people won't be able (at that time) to run raytracing so they needed to dial-in the looks on the basic version and I love it. RT Psycho just looks off to me and reflections are unrealistically perfect, and I understand that to get the overall stylistically close to the original vision would be tons of work of getting the real lights bounce juust right. Then Overdrive comes in and makes everything look very well composited and breathtaking at times, but too dark and not so artistic (even though very realistic).
not long now, so puuuuuumped 👍
I don’t think that fps hit from OD worth it, more to tell sometimes picture looks prettier even without ray tracing, depends on lighting conditions and scene.
Many crying amd fanboy don't like this 😂😂😂💀🎪
Para mi el verdadero ray tracing es el OD, me esperare a la serie 50 o 60, dependiendo que tan estable sea de fps cyberpunk y futuros juegos que tengan od, por cierto muchas gracias por las comparaciones de los 3 modos 😀
Ive used it for about an hour but i get framedrops in places where you wouldn't expect it. Perhaps that's been cleaned up 2.0
Jealous
rt on es como el hdr On JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJJAAJA TANTOS EFECTOS para que? si luego te pones a jugar y te olvidas de ellos
is 4070 enough
rt on fps off
Too bad I will always choose higher frame rate
Tbh i prefer normal ray tracing than OD mode. For me this is sweet spot between performance and visual quality. OD is too dark, and the framerate cost is too high.
I think this demo shows that half-assed ray tracing just isn't worth it. The combination of baked lighting plus ray traced lighting creates a distracting incongruity. At best, you might notice a touch of enhanced lighting and shadow here or there, but it doesn't fit well with the traditional rasterized lightning and shadow in the same environment. The end result is underwhelming and imo totally not worth it when you consider the performance hit.
Path tracing, on the other hand, floors me. The environments look far superior, but the characters are where you see the biggest difference. Obviously the performance hit is prohibitive at this point, and I'm not looking forward to the amount of upscaling that will be required to run path tracing on affordable hardware. But where I mostly reject current ray tracing as not remotely worth the performance loss, I'm very much looking forward to the path traced future of gaming.
might be a dumb question but when DLSS 3.5 drops for cyberpunk and whatnot will my 3060ti be able to run OD?
beautiful, +music
if only I had money for this kind of computer…
LMFAO! @04:10 RT OD changes the race of the guitar player, HAHA!
THE OD just so good
So overdrive cost about 60fps haaa
OD is definitely the future of games lightning. Only 4090 capable doing this currently.
Interesting if it will be issue for OLED.
I mean.. Black color now really black..
I feel like it is pretty but the way it is done is way less exciting once you have immersed yourself in the game and in the story. Just like that mechanical keyboard or audiophile grade headphone.
