Cyberpunk 2077 released last year to a disastrous launch and after several patches and updates there is still a lot to do as they work towards the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game. Now it looks like retailers are starting to heavily discount the game with Best Buy absolutely slashing the price to bargain bin levels.

  1. I got the best deal. My sister purchased me a physical copy for Xmas and CD Projekt Red refunded me the full price and let me keep the game. They did publicly say they were working out a way for returns, but I highly doubt they will do that now. It would cost them too much and whatever would they do with them now the game is in the bargain bin..

  2. At this point CD Projekt Red should just make their upcoming paid DLCs or expansion packs free for all.
Remember when Assassin's Creed Unity launched it was such a disaster yet UBISOFT out of all companies gave every owner of the game the season pass for FREE? And I believe people who paid for the season pass through pre-order could redeem a different Ubisoft game like Far Cry 4 or Watch_Dogs which were still brand new at the time.

  3. I knew from day one that Cyberpunk 2077 would be a massive disappointment due to how over hyped it was and i'm happy to see that i wasn't wrong….. These sort of things happen all the time with very little exceptions but as per usual, people don't want to listen or learn and happily fork over their money instead of waiting a while as there is no rush because the game will always be there but at least wait for things to be fixed and stuff first.

I didn't jump on the hype train and tbh, the more hype a game gets, the more off put i become because it's obvious what will happen next…. I waited about half a year before i got the game and even then i made sure it was on discount first….. Hopefully people will take better note of such things like that and can be a bit more patient, it's not that hard especially when it's your money at stake 🙂

  4. As a day 1 buyer it was a disaster and underwhelming. The only thing believe it or not is that when I first started playing it, the bugs where so bad that it was hilarious to play and see all the blunders.

  5. I bought it last week and it’s pretty great. I’ve played other games that were in much worse condition. I feel like kids these days are way too critical.it’s not the end of the world.

  6. Cyberpunk 2077 was FAR better than the train wreck of Fallout 76. I could play Cyberpunk without server crashes every hour, and while there were a lot of minor bug I managed a full playthrough without a mission glitching or even a crash and all the bugs were small cosmetic bugs, like drives showing through cars, clothes disappearing, NPCs acting funny, people sitting on nothing… amusing but not game breaking. Other than a few minor things dropped from the game, they delivered on what they promised. Fallout 76 did not. They said grieving would no be a problem, you could play single player, butt he events and silo runs were based on multiplayer, there was 100+ hours in main missions, but there was only about 25 hours total in main and side missions really…. it just works… no.

The only think I di not care for in Cyberpunk was the cops were pretty lame. They needed to rebalance the crafting, upgrading, and loot system, and a few perks and mods not working properly. I also wish the damage did not scale so high and shooting through walls decreased damages. Fallout 76 just needed a whole re-write… no NPCs, weak story, nothing was permanent, camps forced to be moved, multiplayer (never should have happened), stash limit, way overdone durability and spoilage system., the inability to adjust difficulty, charge for fast travel, some of the weakest missions ever. hardly any good Easter Eggs. The game was a joke and still is. While they fixed some of the bugs it still has issues and all the DLCs were crap. They continued to focus entirely on grind. They basically dumped on their fans and went 100% to a typical boring grindy MMO.
