  2. Neon, this is way more than just a "reality check". This is BioWare / Anthem levels of mismanagement. Until the CDPR management is audited, fined, and kicked out can proper progress begin to happen.

  3. So the main issue was the new director. Gotta say, the guy knows how to build hype. Giving impossible release dates knowing you’ll have to delay it before even announcing it, spending billions on advertisements, fake gameplay trailers. Knows how to market, but oblivious to game development and design.

  4. I mean witcher 3 also took a year abd became a great game imo. It also was at a ,,destroyed" state before, so i would recommend anyone to be patient. Being patient is a worthy advantage

  5. Sounds like someone could write a book on how CD Projekt Red messed up, going right back to 2012. Will they learn from it? Will other studios say "Let's not pull a CDPR!" The lawyers are going to have a field day in court.

  6. Looks like the CEOs and their wet dreams of rivalling Rockstar cost us the game we were originally promised and sold. It should've been enough of an alarm to see CDPR go from referring Cyberpunk as an RPG to "Action Adventure", and hearing statements from CDPR saying shit like "some people thought the Witcher 3 was too long", and just cancel my preorder then and there. It's just that as it turns out, true to their form at CDPR the change from RPG to Adventure wasn't announced anywhere. Live and learn, won't ever preorder another game from CDPR no matter the title, and I guess I'm going to check back into Cyberpunk in 6 moths or a year and see is it any more complete by then.

  7. I just finished reading Jason's article. This is why people with absolutely zero software development experience have absolutely NO BUSINESS making decisions on software development projects. I had a similar situation at my old company. I used to be a software developer at a Fortune 100 company that I don't feel comfortable naming here. Many of the people in management and leadership positions there had little to no Computer Science education or experience in software development, yet had the final word on when our products needed to be delivered. I strongly believe that only people with previous software development experience should be aloud to manage and direct teams of software developers. Adam Badowski, Marcin Iwinski, and the rest of the CDPR leadership have none of that. Look at Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann, the President of the company, used to be a gameplay programmer at the studio.

  8. Whats cute is how each new 4-year generation of young players believes this is unusual… "Every" title, game, and studio producing AAA content runs into the exact same issues. Its not new, just come to grips the game was not really meant for consoles, and for the sake of revenue down-ported in near afterthought… fast forward to your complain(s).

  9. Hey Neon! Glad u're doing well choom! im in love with ur lore vid, love to see it get explained further (as if 2-3 hours explanation not enough lol). I realized that compared to witcher, theres no further explanation of whats going on on other place in the lore like whats the situatuin in other free states? whats the situation in NUSA? Whats the situation in Europe? Japan? China?

Oh, not to dismissed you, i wouldnt take those article by Jason Schreier and Bloomberg seriously. His source are anonymous dev, not credible etc etc.

I love the game, played 2 playthrough and 210 hours already, and even i feel that the game need some improvement and update. But not as further as the rumours saying.

  10. That CDPR video was an apology in the same way that saying "I'm sorry you were in the way when I threw my foot out towards your face" is an apology for kicking someone.
