  2. I finally bought Cyberpunk in December and have now played for over 400 hours, having finished one playthrough. The story is deliberately written to be as illogically emotional and is a so-so experience, but the gameplay is 8/10 and sustains the game. I'm waiting on that upcoming patch to fix all the issues with the iconic quick hacks before doing a pure Netrunner stealth build instead of a guns-blazing build.

  3. Welcome back LKM! Good to see another news video from you. 🙂
I think the next patch will probably have only a few minor gigs or some items/vehicles at best. Mostly bug and quest fixes and such.

  4. I feel like one of the key things that CDPR has learned from 2077 is managing their ambition during development and recognizing better and earlier what will work and what won't for this franchise. If they say they can do actual lifepaths now, I hope they know how to do it. And I hope the top dogs will be able to keep the hungry investors at bay so they don't pressure the company to release an unfinished game. "Remember what happened last time? Please let us deliver it when it's really ready."

  5. Let's be honest, they already took the company public…basically they've already sold the company. CDPR is not the same company it was before and most of the developers from the witcher days have left the company. They're already on a bad path to ruin, I'm just hoping we get one more good witcher game before corporate greed ruins what's left.

  6. 4 games are being developed at the same time?😮 At this junction I don't expect quality like the Witcher 3 from CDPR, when they couldn't even get one game right for the release date.

Only after patching it for another 3 years.

  7. I’m most excited for this pivot back into the Witcher series. I think being the smaller studio that they were at the time going back to like the first Witcher game on PC… Priorities were just in the right place. Of course, there were still limitations and plenty of hindsight moments, but you could see from the first game all the way into Witcher three, the learning and understanding happening there from the studio. Witcher three was the culmination of many different things, but absolutely in terms of the innovating From their previous projects and having those priorities still in the right place as a game studio or more specifically a RPG developer. With different successes and resource availability and engine tweaking, they turned Witcher three into one of the most immersive, RPG experiences . The world and the characters, especially were so authentic and you just believe every second of it. Which accomplishes that immersive job, that entertainment/escapism. It just had to write foundation and the right priorities.

Won’t get into it but long story short, I think cyberpunk 2077 started out with the right priorities, but then got away from it. But this point CDpr had become a very large successful company, which takes on a whole new dimension when you have that kind of success, It’s easier to lose sight of those right priorities as a game studio.
They course corrected over the past few years and saved some face in that regard. The world of cyber punk has always been fascinating, and they did a very good job with representing that… It just lacked the interactive life it’s so desperately screamed for. Again they have made changes especially with the recent updates to provide more of that life that has depth beyond just amazing superficial looks. And they did great with that for what it was.
But I think 2077 was a learning point for CDPR higher-ups I would say. Or at least I hope it was. Because as they did with the Witcher series… If they have their priorities in the right place, then the cyberpunk sequel is going to blow 2077 out of the water . That I guarantee you. But only if the priorities are in the right place.

And with that said, I think 2077 did cause a refocusing of those right priorities which I foresee being put to good use with the development of this next Witcher game. Which makes me excited for it. Plus getting away from some of that cyber punk stigma to work on a universe that is very comfortable and familiar to them. It’s like nostalgia or coming home in a sense. All of these things I think will have a tremendously positive affect on the results that we will see from this new Witcher game.
And then again… Hopefully all of this will carryover into the cyber punk sequel as well, although we obviously won’t be seeing that until probably 2032 or something .
But until then, we have every reason to be excited for these new Witcher games. I’m assuming it will be another trilogy of sorts.
Not really interested in the multiplayer components or spin offs. The single player experience is where the true immersive experience is at.

    So yeah

  8. I have two hopes for the next Cyberpunk game, First that they make the life paths more than just a 5 minute sequence at the start and make the game more of an RPG where you play the role set out in the life path. Secondly that whatever leveling system they go with they don't rip it out to use a rip off of the Borderlands 2 system that feels like the Borderlands 2 we have at home (12 years ago!)
