  2. I always believe the reason V is immune to cyberpsychosis is because V is already dead, the relic is what keeps V alive and killing him slowly at the same time, so V is basically a walking dead, you can't get mentally sick when you are already dead and Jhonny silverhand himself is not a human anymore but a sentient AI in a sense because he is just a copy of Jhonny engram.

  3. V didn't became a cyberpsychosis because he never wear cyberware/implant above his body capability. In the game we have attributes requirement for each cyberware!!! In opposite David wore more than his body can take, V never did this (because the game simply doesn't let him to do it),.

So yeah guys, level 50 V is just build different than David. David is more like level 30-35 but he didnt listen to his ripperdoc, he wore more than his body could take. I remember playing V in earlier game, when he was low level, man V was sucks, he couldn't wear iconic and legendary cyberwares, heck he couldn't even wear several rare and common cyberware depending on your build.

  4. It’s such a great game just it was buggy. If it didn’t have bugs people would have loved it. Sure it might not have all the promises but there vision would be even harder than making what they made and I’m sure it was very hard making the current game. Hopefully even more people come. I’m new to cyberpunk and it’s great hopefully it gets more updates and they don’t stop updating the game. There still most likely gonna do one actual dlc and not more just cause of the surge of players but if they did that would be awesome.

  5. Cyberpsychosis should have been treated as frenzy in VTMB. I keep hearing the "it would be difficult" no it wouldn't. We've had a game from the early 2000 be able to pull it off. But a 2020 game can't? Nahh, they probably just didn't want to include the mechanic because non RPG players probably wouldn't like it. Being forced to lose control while you watch your character just maul victims with their cybernetics. Much like VTMB where as a gangrel I lost control for lack of humanity. Actually pretty savage n cool to watch. Hell even the speachlines would be more brutal with low humanity

  6. Wow LKM, your last to videos on cyberpsychosis have been really eye opening. As a person who has high blood pressure and deals with a lot of stress, not to mention a lot of other crappy life issues, I can see why David cracks. V on the other hand has the has Johnny sitting in their head as a constant reminder that you're not crazy, I am and I can show you real crazy is…plus plot armor helps. Thank for including Mike Pondsmith's explanations in this. This man is truly ahead of his time. Keep up the great work and looking forward to more great content Brother.

  7. I thing it would V becouse female or male V can bee net runners and this David don't know nothing about netrunning. Even Adam Smasher had more respect for V while day fought. He could blow up the TV Screen and kill V on the spot but he didn't. Look ad Adam when he first showed up into last mission into Konpeki plaza hotel. V male or female can easyl stun David withou move a single finger. Haking his sistem and put to sleep for a while. Dealing with Psycopath Johnny Silverhand (Yeah sure socyopath) Ve easly deal with him without going crazy. Some implanet to come back to life as well (Second Heart is better, alwey been prepered to come back and beat the crap out of the oponent).

Faceing Best friend of Yorinobu Arask Body Guard without killing him.

David after all crap happened to him He just looked for revenge, even if he denind the evidence he just looked for reveng but he start to feel the effect of upcoming cyberpsicosy. He become full of cramo and got crazy nearle end killing like a crazy walking bomb. V just see lot of shit in her live as Corpo/Nomade/Stree Kid weter path we are on. She was alwesy wan to survive and get right of J.S for good. (I hat somone who want tak control over my body. No thanks.) Just go along till he go away. David just got chrom to look stronger and more taller and bigger. he killed the innoncent as well who were just working there.

V is much stronger then David.

  8. A big advantage for V, is that he has all his illusion of immortality removed, he knows the chip will kill him, so his mind is totally focused on hunting down a few last rays of hope.
V knows he is not special.
V knows his death is imminent.
So he is grounded is reality and humanity.

  9. I'm glad they've been improving 2077. It may not be a 10/10 game mainly due to too many bugs/oddities and some QoL improvements I'd like to see, but it doesn't have to be a full 10 to honestly be one of my favorite games of all time. I 'liked' it at launch, but 1.5 as I always say got me really hooked all year round. I know it must be hard to come back to it after all the bad press, but they must know they're sitting on some gold. I'd rather see the game improve than be pissed about the launch at the end of the day.

  10. I think stats alone explain why V didn’t go cyberpsycho. You can’t just equip any mod you want. You either need to be strong enough, smart enough, or quick enough to install certain pieces, which basically means V is capable of handling it. David, however, just went full on chrome junkie, installing the best of the best because he thought he was special.

  11. CDPR had a kick in the teeth. HARD and before Witcher 3 they where pretty much a AA studio so hopefully they feel it hard enough to fix their mistakes. You know unlike anyone else that are forever comfortable in their position no matter how much it burns. Ubisoft and EA have automatic wins no matter what

  12. you know, i think of cyberpsychosis as being similar to the witcher potions. its not the amount of chrome you're wearing, but how much you're using at a time. when david takes the meds, its almost like using, i think, White Gull to negate the effects and toxicity

  13. Cdpr should have just put in humanity as a stat and based on your game choices and slotted cyberware you couldn't add more or had to take something out. It wouldn't have been that big a deal and may have added an additional build layer.

That said V is not David or Atom Smasher. You can kit him out every slot and he still looks mostly human, has a normal build, etc etc. He wasn't doing total body mods which David did.

  14. I think it is mainly because when we get V he/she dies and is only living because Johnny was the X factor so the reason why V doesn’t have to deal with cyberpsychosis is became they are dead and their mind is literally being destroyed

  15. You know, I liked the series up till episode 5, where David, out of nowhere gets super Cyberware and losses his beautiful innocent look, and things just got (like all the movies of this generation) OVER DONE! and every episode after that just lost my interest. The ending sucks in general. Dont get me wrong. It was a good start and a great animation overall. But getting out of hand, which in my opinion didn't have to go that far to hold the interest of the viewers. Sometimes less is more.

    Even in CP77.

BTW (just a side note) the blasphemy of using (Jesus and Christ in a derogatory way) is totally unnecessary amd offensive to believers of this domination of Christ. Of ypu want use curses, go for it, but why God? Just my thoughts. Thanks LKM.

  16. Personally, I'm of the opinion that V WAS a cyberpsycho by the end of it. Somebody who's got a voice in their head and decides to single handedly invade Arasaka tower to plug their head into the central terminal is not exactly sane, and cyberpsychosis doesn't necessarily have to appear as a simple case of violent outburst

  17. [Spoiler Alert for both the game and the show!!!]

Also, we saw V handle Jackie's death pretty well. She (I consider female V as canon as that's my OC so excuse the pronouns) didn't break, or like, go into some severe depression. You can say that's from a gameplay standpoint, but they could've easily shown it through cutscenes and/or text messages. Later on, she also finds a new family with the Aldecaldos and Judy, which stick with her all the way through to the end. And in the end she rides off with this newfound family which is going to take care of her, even with a father figure like Saul dead. And even before the Aldecaldos, even with Jackie gone there was still Mama Welles who considered V her own daughter. And Victor and Misty were incredibly caring to her too.
Also, Johnny. Since the chip is slowly overtaking V's own brain, some of Johnny's personality is seeping into V. And we've seen Johnny's story, even when he was captured he didn't break. Even after Alt died he didn't let that get under his skin (I mean he kinda did by nuking 'Saka, but you get what I mean). Additionally, he had an output to release all his mental feelings and whatever mental toll he may be suffering from through the power of music, which we already know people do in our world, use music to convey their emotions and feelings.

I think all this together made V much much more resilient to cyberpsychosis than David, who was, kind of a completely opposite case, and he had no Relic altering his personality either. So when his new found family died, he completely broke, except for just one person- Lucy- who could still hold his cyberpsychosis at bay. But of course well, what can you do when you go up against the Adam Smasher am I right. I mean, sure, V is finally the person who beats Smasher, but V is like, much much more experienced than David, considering that by the end of the show David is still young while V is an adult. You could also add in the fact that V already knows how Smasher fights through Johnny's memories.

EDIT: Also, that actually leaves one very special case: Adam Smasher. Even though people consider him a monster, he isn't a "cyberpsycho". He doesn't mow through crowds of innocent people, he only kills those which Arasaka deems necessary, he's kind of like Araksaka's puppet. I wonder what allows him to keep cyberpsychosis at bay…

  18. Internet was shiting on it even without playing the game for themselves and writing a bunch of dumb reviews and comments online and most of them are not going to put their money where their mouth is and start pretending they had supported the developers all along, Absolute brain washed degenerate sheep who need to grow up.

  19. i figured one of the reasons V doesnt experience cyberpsychosis, was because of the chip. technically V has already died and is being rebuilt by the chip, so it works to balance the player out while it takes over

  20. Completely unrelated, but since you said that you'd take Pondsmiths word on lore, how do you feel about Johnny Silverhand and Morgan Blackhand being rolled into one character? Because the whole storming Arasaka with a bomb and the rivalry with Smasher was completely all Morgan's thing. Smasher didn't give a fuck about Johnny. In the game it seems Morgan Blackhand wasn't even there in the Arasaka raid flashback. This heavily goes against Pondsmiths lore and kind of neglects Blackhand as a character. Also since V easily defeated Smasher does this make them more legendary than Morgan Blackhand? I'm kinda bummed that Blackhand had nothing to do with Smashers downfall because of their legendary rivalry. But that rivalry was given to Silverhand and I guess by extension V.

  21. The best thing about Cyberpunk 2077 is the universe and Night City itself. While it is a good story and well acted I feel like the story is way too focused on Johnny and V. It needed to be more sandboxy with more focus on just creating your own story, doing jobs, maybe creating a squad, having more rpg elements, more chrome customization along with a humanity/cyberpsychosis system and just generally living in and interacting with Night City without the looming thought of my character is dying over time. Just my opinion

  22. V is many levels above David, much because of Relic, so he is immune to cyberpsychosis. In addition we can measure the power level as follows. V single-handedly invaded the Arasaka Tower from the first floor, climbed up and destroyed arasaka's entire defense system and turned Adam Smasher into a pile of twisted metal. David is strong…. but V is a Cyber Demon

  23. V doesn't really have any cyberware unless you choose to install it (besides the eye) and even then the game technically takes place in less a month overall before Johnny's chip kills him so even if V maxes out on cyberware that's not too much time for it to effect him mentally. David on other hand went to the max with cyberware over the course of years, at least seemingly. Not entirely sure of edge runners total story timeframe.

  24. Tbh V before/ after us way milder than David’s (he got like double his width and got like .5 meters taller (before the mech) whereas vs biggest changes were legs and arms

  25. I think there are 2 possibilities V is not going full psycho by the amount of chrome you can put on him/her. Of course one is the game scraped the humanity system, but i would like to present a lore explanation.
Possibility 1 is because the chip already revived V, they technically count as dead from the bullet. So a brain that has an engram does not experience psychosis.
Possibility 2 is that because V is 2 people at once, johnny and V. The strain produced by cyberware is load balanced, so it is not as much of a strain or totally removes the strain produced.

  26. Perhaps CDPR should have put a humanity stat in. There's room for it on the character screen. It starts a 2 and is treated the same as every other stat but without the skills. When you level up you have to decide between having more cyberware capacity and upgrading your other stats. If it reaches zero perhaps roll a hidden die every hour and on a certain number (such as a 1 on a d20) have every character model turn hostile, and because you're shooting civilians (that aren't actually attacking you but you think they are), MaxTac shows up and does what they do best.
Cyberware could then be buffed I think, but in my opinion, it's fine the way it is.

  27. Everyone seems to forget that the biggest difference between David and V regarding cyberpsychosis is that V suffer catastrophic brain damage that was repaired and overwritten by the biochip. The fact that the nanites used by the biochip to overwrite a persons personality with another implies that it could also prevent cyberpsychosis.
