With you on the height thing. This opening sequence reminded me of a side mission in Mass Effect 2: you had to climb around a crashed spaceship that was falling apart, thankfully it was short.
Goood Morning Dogtown!
YAY…Dogtown…let's gooooo! [But don't forget all your friends in Night City proper…] Keep that stuff about the Militech underground facility in mind…it may become significant later on. The Tarot murals are even more important clues/hints in PL than the main game. The Relic Perks are super-powerful…spend them carefully. Lots of cool stuff in that underground garage area, but unfortunately we don't seem to be able to get back into it. Eager for Wednesday…be prepared to spend some time with it…Songbird's first assignment is a biggie.
FOr people who wonder "when to start PL" the answer is "as soon as possibe because finishing the intro quests gives you access to SO MUCH STUFF that will benefit the rest of the game so much.
I miss Johnny 😢
Wow, have played this game for some 800 hours and this was the first time I noticed an enemy losing an arm and continue fighting (that wasn't a robot).
Soongbird is an interesting Character. It’s nice that we can read and get a bit more info about the NPC’s! Excited to see what Dogtown is all about! 🤗
minimal spoiler advice: make a hard save, when you (much later) start the Phantom Liberty mission called "Firestarter"
Every day that passes, it seems you less and less like River. He's the corniest love interest 😅
Something to try: borrow a cop car then try to drive it through the Dogtown checkpoint.
I also suspect that the Barghest troopers having luminous green as their colour scheme is a reference to The Beast all the way back in Witcher 1. Which summoned glowing green dogs as its minions.
