  1. The Voodoo Boys are obviously liars, but they are also responsible for Evelyn's death. So they deserved a just punishment. Still, it's a shame that V didn't get some cheap absolution at the Voodoo Boys temple (the animation is hilarious).
Officially confirmed (30:02) – Jessica turned into V (or wrote the script)

  2. "VDBs are liars".
They are a bit more than that 🙂 They were willing to help the rogue AIs against humanity, in hopes of those giving them a deal. (which is a very stupid idea) Rogue AI in this game are like eldritch horrors who consider humanity nothing more than ants or bacteria. The VDBs are the worst of all the gangs in the game: many of the gangs are horrid, but none of them are this low (neither would sacrifice humanity as a whole to the rogue AIs)

  3. Pretty much everyone I know who has played this threw over the VDBs in this quest. Mostly because Placide is just such an unrelenting arsehole.

    Anyhow. On to PL.

Dogtown seems to be inspired by the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong in that it was an enclave of Mainland China in the middle of Hong Kong but neither the British nor the Chinese authorities could extend their authority there in practice, so it became a literal human termite mound of buildings on top of buildings ruled by strongmen and organised crime figures and in which you could get anything, legal or not, if you looked hard enough. The film Bloodsport with Jean Claude Van Damme was filmed in part there.

  4. Those post mission conversations with Johnny are my favorite too.

    Possiblly an annoying backsity comment:

I'm not sure if you're planning on starting phantom liberty or not, but I'd say experiencing the main game till the end first, then going back and playing phantom liberty mught not be a bad idea. We'll have a good baseline to appreciate the new content more. Saving the best for last and all.
There will be an obvious point of no return that you can save.
I'll enjoy the playthrough either way.

  5. "V" for the third time :"I'm just saying".
Me: you say too much 😂

It was nice, because apparently the situation got through the thick skull and also because she left big-dumb Placide as the vdb king 😅
