Yo Jesika would be really cool if you had a list of your favorites games you played on the channel
Man, I HATE Maelstrom
Some NPC blood is white because its artificial, the more chromed up you are the more artificial blood you need. Fun fact: synthetic blood (a type of perfluorocarbon) is a real thing and is actually white.
So on the map, when you see a solid line, that's basically what the game considers to be a road you can follow in a vehicle. If you see a dotted path, it means it's traversable, but there's not like a clear, unobtructed route, like you might have to drive through a building or up a stair case or something.
I generally prefer to meet with Evelyn Parker first, but either way works out. Good choice with meeting Meredith…optional choices are not dispensable…you want to do this. Modified people in 2077 often have white artificial blood. BTW, you can ride vehicles you 'capture', like motorcycles…although they will disappear quickly if you leave them alone. Try scanning or shooting those fuel tanks…see what happens.
Many of the weapons in this game take a bit of practice to learn their best use/effect. I recommend submachineguns. You are getting a lot of use out of your Dying Night pistol…have you upgraded it in your crafting menu yet? Check gunshops for a pump shotgun…you may find one there. Don't forget you have grenades. Upgrading your cyberdeck will make hacking data download points easier… Cars often spawn in odd, inconvenient locations. It's a quirk of the game…[NOT A BUG!!]
Maelstrom are my favorite enemies in the game. Personality plus! So extroverted! You may find ExKeef inhalers elsewhere in the game…they are very valuable. The Pickup can work out in a lot of ways. If you replay, try others.
It's a little early in the game for it, but I like to keep an unassigned Attribute point in reserve just in case I fall one short in a particular ability.
Excited for the next episode!
I love Maelstrom
omgosh you are so close to shooting the perfectly placed explosive stuff all the time hahaha love it
That was an intense meet up! Stout has some attitude, Dum Dum that’s an interesting name! Lol 🤗
Oh Dum Dum what a nice host, making you feel comfortable, sharing his drugs 🙂
Happy Easter to Lady Jesika & everybody.
That meeting with Melstrom can go in few different ways as You saw. I was hoping You would at least pull Your gun out at the convo with Royce… ah well (maybe next time?? ;D)
Few more tips for ya. 😉
You should really check more of the corners out in the open and in closed spaces like in this factory You are right now. Plenty of loot and info lying around waiting to be taken by You V-Jesika. 🙂
Also if You would check the sparkling light after You went inside the "factory" You would get additional info and dialog.
If You do not care if the gonks are dead or not then please HIDE the bodies. It is a source or free xp. You can toss one gong in most of the green "closets" cabinets. Two gonks in the smaller (mostly) yellow containers and in the ice tobs and three gonks in to big trash containers with the double lid. And more to even bigger containers up to five gonks. You will see that all of the hiding places have a light next to a lid. When that turns red than You can't put anymore gonks inside. Simple – right? Please do try it – like I wrote it will brings You more XP.
Granades:
When some gonk is tosing a granade into Your direction please move a bit to avoid the detonation blast area. Also You can point Your gun at the grande and shoot it down. Pretty easy. If You have a good cover position and You do not want to move – just try to shoot them down as soon as it is possible. You can even damage peeps that are throwing those things at ya. 😉
I wrote this before – the distance up to 300 meters is quite close. You don't need to abandon us untill You get there. And with a car it is even faster. Mind You – sometimes it is faster to leave the car and go on foot as all You need to do is to hop some fence and… viola You are there.
Get a smartlink connection implant. Then You will be able use smart weapons as was intended. Then I am sure You will like them.
Shootguns are good but only at close range (untill much later in the game) and slow. So if You want to use them You need to also invest in appropriate cyberware. Things that are slowing time… and that sort of things.
Lastly – PING.
Please start using Ping and tag your enemies. This will make Your V life much more easier.
You are awesome driver Jesika. You will do fine. There are some races to be won later in the game – so please practice… 😀
Some quick tips that can be useful,
– You can discover the fast travel points while driving so don't have to walk everywhere lmao
– Your inhalers (or stims/stimpacks if you prefer lol) regen over time, so you don't have to be careful about running out (not the same as in Fallout at least lol), the same also goes for your grenades, so you can throw them to your hearts content lmao
– You can also get better inhalers which give more health (think there's also multiple variants of inhalers that works a little bit differently.)
– And if I'm not misremembering, the food/drinks you pick up, you can eat/drink in a pinch when the inhaler is unavailable.
Always fun to see missions play out in different ways! A lot of people I've seen play this turn on Maelstrom or never removed the virus, so seeing you side with Maelstrom is great <3
Maelstrom are kind of the Clan Malkavian of the setting. They enjoy practical jokes which usually involve ultra violence and freaking the mundanes.
I think you can get a very nice Tactician pump gun in Watson somewhere. Alternatively the Satara is pretty nice because you can charge it up to give extra knockback potential and covet penetration. Very satisfying.
The Palica and Zhuo are smart shotguns. They fire a cluster of homing slugs but you need the smart link to use them properly. Since you're going netrunner you can get boosts to smart guns with that skill tree as well.
