  1. I'm honestly sick of everyone being outraged at everything. CDPR fixed the vulnerability. CDPR also supports WolvenKit, the modding tool that will allow modders to access/extract/import archives, much like CreationKit. Look, I'm not necessarily happy with the games release but I can't help but feel everyone is overreacting to anything CDPR does. They're handling things fairly well compared to most AAA studios.

  2. TLDR of this video: CDPR just tells us not to use mods from unsafe sources, thats it. i have no idea why this needed to be stretched to 10 mins. its all repeated information from previous videos/articles

  3. Oh man I was actually going to get Cyberpunk on PC once the second patch came out and get that Male V Judy romance mod. But now I don't even trust the game enough to install it.

  4. What that tweet means is, "If you want to use mods beware that something bad could happen, and that thing could only happen if you use mods" not that hard to understand =P

  5. For it to be exploited though, doesn't someone need to get files onto your pc in order to yake advantage of it? Hence the warning from CDPR. This seems like a bunch of butthurt babies being butthurt babies again.

  6. The last update for pc for me has all trees and grass follow me now not sure why. And i can see all trees and grass thru buildings and i run no mods or anything, its on all saves.

  7. i think the tweet is not meant to blame modders or publicly lying , i think its just a warning that meant to be easy to understand to people (majority of people) who dont understand technical stuff
because a lot of people dont understand the technical stuff, cdpr just tell them not to download mod from unknown sources.

  8. Stop falling for flashy marketing and we wont need to see vids like this vs celebrating a positive experience. Remember those days? Before microtransactions destroyed the industry thus making top games so rare that we buy them up anyways, broken and based on promises.

  9. Well, from what I can tell – they said there was a vulnerability that allowed to run malware disguised as mods through the game and untill it's fixed – players should be careful and shouldn't download mods that contain executable code if they're not sure these mods are safe. That's literally all they said, but people for some reason saw it like "mods are bad, they try to break your pc, so we're trying to protect our game from hackers"

  10. I kind of see both sides to this. The tweet by CDPR is the equivalent of saying water is wet, they stated the obvious that everyone SHOULD know when modding games. Mods can be dangerous and you should only go through trusted sources, because you are downloading third party software and running it. I also think that CDPR should have atleast acknowledged that this issue was found by the community and not them, also they should have had their bug team in contact with the modders who found and patched it to get this hot fix out faster.

I dont like the animosity because CDPR didn't say exactly what others wanted them to say.

  11. Beliving that CDPR is blaming modders in the same days they share their same mod-tools to the community, is just stupid.

No one is protecting CDPR marketing but, please, give Caesar what belong to Caesar: stop misreading their talks. Judge them with equity.
