Cyberpunk 2077 Is Still Broken

I keep seeing on Youtube, Steam, and gaming sites that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally fixed. Patch 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty DLC supposedly fixed all the many issues plaguing it since launch. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

All gameplay clips in this video are mine and were on either patch 2.1 or 2.2. The AI in this game are still a buggy broken mess that don’t act like real people in the slightest. They are inconsistent in how they interact with the environment, they constantly get stuck, their pathing is atrocious, and they drive like their playing Twisted Metal. The police force is incapable of finding you or even when they occasionally do their aggro is so inconsistent that they will go from blasting you to ignoring you in an instant.

CD Projekt Red after 4 years still hasn’t delivered the game that they promised yet gamers are forgiving them and even praising them because they’ve made some slight improvements. On top of that, they had the nerve to drop a paid DLC (Phantom Liberty) knowing the game is still completely broken. We have to stop accepting unfinished games and letting these studios off the hook by paying full price for a broken product.

  1. The thing i hate the most is the lack of npcs i played it first on xbox one x it was ok but no npcs…. Like i saw only a few. Then i waited for patches for the game and i finally got a beast of a pc and guess what? It still had a few npcs with max settings for npc density so honestly i was just like… Do i need mods to make this game into what it shoudlve been from the start? I played the witcher 1 and that game felt more alive and better in its interactions that this modern game. This is the only issue i had for me i tried playing the game 3 times first console then pc 2 times and i just cant get into it like it just gets so boring imo 🤷🏻 compared to the witcher it just cant compete and im sad to say it but i tbink the witcher 4 will be a mess especially when your own dev team cant code on an engine that was made for your games especially the witcher i hate unreal engine so much and that every dev has switched to it. Every game on ue4 or 5 that ive played had ghosting issues like i had high fps motion blur off and somehow the game still felt odd i also used max settings and this is an issue with almost every unreal engine game and i dont understand why 💀. Thats why for me ill stick with older games that didnt need upscalers to run good or look good. Batman the arkham knight was a game running on a heavy modified ue3 and still can conpete with a modern unreal engine 5 game why? Because back then artstile and good gameplay was what mattered and the story now they only focus on good graphics more than anything and its so annoyng i have no hope for any modern game going foward because all games i had hope for are either in development hell rn or have just turned out to be shit. 🙁

  2. CP2077 will always be a mediocre game because they chose to make it so. The CEO chased out that team who pitched the game in first place and made that presentation back in 2012 promising an epic Roleplaying experience. Then they were pushed out by the CEO because they dared to ask for their much deserved and promised bonuses on their one year crunch time to get W3 done and out the door in 2015 as they were busy making their own game aka Cyberpunk. Out of greed the CEO refused and they decided to leave, I don't blame them what a scum bag move so its not surprising he is a massive liar. Now its just some boring looter shooter that tries to pretend its GTA meets Deux Ex with an empty world where there are barely any buildings to go into and a half finished area that was just repurposed for the as equally dull DLC. Its hilariously shallow in comparison to both of those titles yet so many try to claim this game is le redeemed.

  3. So um what difficulty are you playing on? These settings alone dramatically change how enemy AI behave. If you are not playing on very hard you have no case in judging the AI. The Ai is fine up your difficulty you filthy casual. 🤣

  4. Problem is in this case its not even an opinion, you're objectively correct, the game is hilariously buggy and broken still, no amount of "I disagree" will change that objective reality.
The fanboys can argue about the quality of all the more subjective aspects all they want but anyone who calls this game "fixed" is a liar or just repeating lies like a drone.

  5. CDRP didn't deliver russian dub for phantom liberty as well. Egor Vasiliev, russian voice for Vincent, said on his streams that he offered various ways of dubbing the game, and CDPR denied all those offers. That's how CDPR "appreciates" their fans

  6. The game is currently roughly on the same level Vampire The Masquerade:Bloodlines was on release.
Which means still a buggy, broken mess that back then means it was a laughing stock that no one bought.
These days however that's what's considered "quality entertainment"

  7. When I play this game, I just filter out things that get me out of immersion. I also pre-ordered it and played it when it released, I was certainly disappointed in the state the game was in, but still loved it when it worked.

  9. I wasn't really interested in Cyberpunk from the start, what killed the company for me was when they made that ESG video. You'd be a fool to still support a gaming company whose main priority shifted to politics. You'll only get preaching from now on, not entertainment.

  11. Oh god don't even get me started. I started playing again two days ago and the issues are so prevalent!!

During a mission with Judy, she breaks these pipes to distract enemies but the hiding spot is broken, if you crouch they can see you through the wall and break your stealth. If you stand out in the open they don't see you until you walk closer. It's so stupid. Judy shouts really loud what her plans are right next to the enemies at the table. Then when the enemies get up to check the issue with the pipes bursting, they're distracted for like 1 millisecond so you can't even sneak up on them to stealth take them down. Judy doesn't even help and leaves you to get ambushed in that moment. It was so annoying!

  12. While I didn't have so many bugs in my last playthrough, the game is absoIutely broken and unfinished.
We're still missing about a 3rd of the game's content that was promised at launch. The story is still garbage, with you being a secondary character and with no good ending.

  13. I’ve been having an odd issue where I’d have a menu open in the open world and when I close it a great big ball of light in the sky flashbangs me until eventually the engine catches up and goes back to normal

    It’s an odd one indeed

Side note: had an issue where Vik just froze mid convo and I couldn’t interact with him until going a block or two away from him

  14. Me and my sister both played the game. Game bugs have been diminished down to jokes. The game is very much playable and to play through the story on a ps4 no less was amazing to see. I've played through the game 3 times now.

And nothings impeded progress, nor have i lost any progress. The crashing is annoying but i understand my limiting setup. And the last patch for ps4 was 1.6. No the gameplay isn't flawless but it still made me a fan of the game.

There's really no other game like it unless you want to compare genres but even then the story tekling and music and overall world design excellency is nothing to be scoffed at.

I recognize my opinion isn't the most popular one, and im not here to dismiss the elephant in the room, but i can overlook these issues with their effort to get the game to even this state and without much of the financial bog that plagues most games now at this caliber.
