  2. UPDATE TO OLD COMMENT – 4080/13700k with dlss runs like a dream! – never dips below 100fps.

Can tell that it's definitely a tech preview however as after some quick camera motions you can see the lighting refigure itself out. Apart from this though, will be the only way to play from now on!

  3. sighs I mean… yeah… great… But I use an RTX 2070, and I'm not made of money, so upgrading isn't an option. All this update did was break everyone's mods. x( Granted, I have a backup folder of the previous version, so I can still play. ๐Ÿ˜› But I kinda feel sorry for everyone else. ๐Ÿ™

  4. I'll add in my results:

3080ti with old ass CPU (I am bottlenecked by it, don't think it affects this game tho)

On MAXED settings (physco screen space as well, although no post processing but motion blur) at 1440 ultrawide with DLSS set to performance I get about 30-40 fps. On DLSS ultra performance I get a more consistent 40 to about 50. It can still drop to the high 20s though.

Not really worth it for normal gameplay unless you are okay with tons of artifacts on certain objects, like fences and vegetation. But there's nothing like it in certain scenes.

  5. While I look forward to graphical advancements, I always subscribe to style over photo-realism when it comes to video games and media.

Sure making a game look as photo-realistic as possible is neat and using cutting edge tech is very impressive on a technical level, but years down the line when (or if) we reach that level of graphics it's going to look dated or uncanny.

Where you get a game with a defined style, it tends to survive the test of time better than trying to emulate real life.

Cheers to the folks who have the cards to try this out and show it to the masses! Hope y'all enjoy!
