Today I wanted to take a look at the recent success Cyberpunk 2077 is having due to CDPR continuing to update the game as Steam numbers (the ones we can see anyway) have been going up and game has more daily and weekly players than ever before on release.

  2. The scaling level enemies and loot, crafting system and armour not having stats are still 3 huuuuge downsides which didn't meed to happen and I feel not enough people talk about.

I beat the game a few times on release and a few times again recently with 2.2 and 2.2 and these aspects were done brilliantly in the original release and they have replaced all three with massively inferior systems.

The scaling enemies instead of levelled enemies is genuinely one of the worst decisions I've seen a dev make, it completely destroys the gameplay feel of the entire city and gangs and makes it so from level 15 to 60 the game never gets more difficult.

I kove the game, but these aspects which used to be great and now are ruined hold the game back for the entire experience.

  3. I picked up Cyberpunk 2077 in the Steam winter sale this year. I hadn't played it before this, but given the generally positive reviews and having a PC I thought could run it at a decent framerate I decided to give it a go. So one of those new players on Steam is me.

    I wasn't disappointed.

It's an amazing game with plenty to do and an interesting setting and story. The only thing I have a problem with is the awful car/driving physics so I try to avoid driving as much as I can.

  4. I mean if you look at Steam's 2024 best sellers, Cyberpunk 2077 is in the gold category which is really impressive since it's 4 years old now, it's single-player only, and the expansion was released more than a year ago.
