Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red announced last week that its Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions of the game had been delayed until 2022. On Thursday, the developer updated its development roadmap — first published in January — with a more detailed look at the delay, showing there are no more expected updates for 2021.

Next-gen updates for both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 are impacted by the delay, which is currently scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, according to the roadmap. Other “updates, improvements, and free DLC” are expected during that period and beyond. In this video Dreamcastguy reacts and rants about the news and why the gameplay and story of Cyberpunk 2077 will never be finished or live up to the hype we had before launch.

  1. CD Projekt Red stepped out of their comfort zone, the Witcher, took a risk and tried something new. They failed. However this WAS some developers passion project. Someone over there put their heart and soul into this. Somewhere along the way, something was lost in translation. I don’t get the hate from all the winey dudes. Before now they’ve made quality products. No one had to preorder. Perhaps mistakes where made on both sides. Hopefully this is an experience both parties will learn from.

  2. I know it didnt hit the mark but I really enjoyed the game. I think you have to play it in a linear manner, just moving from main mission to main mission. It's all the padding that's a bit crap but there us a great game in here! (Played on Series X which I know makes a difference)

  3. Soooo glad I trusted my gut/vibe and was able to resist the temptation to purchase this game at launch. It just sounded toooo good to be true. I was right. I'll get it when the next gen patch releases and the game is 10 bucks. Win/win. Patience is a virtue.

  4. Unbelievable that the devs were forced to launch this game in Dec 2020; it's apparent now that the boots on the ground inside CDPR weren't kidding when they thought the game still needed at least another year. Now they've lost alot of the real talent at the studio and doesn't look like it will ever be the game they intended to make.

  5. I think the main problem is current gen. If CDPR would just rip the band aid off and stop worrying about how Cybwrpunk runs on current gen I think they could actually do well and make a compitent game for the next gen consoles

  6. took a break and started a new playthrough on a fresh install. games running great tbh. and yes i played at launch its significantly more polished than it was last year. i didnt expect anything, and i still dont, so im having fun. the only way these companies will start paying attention, is if we STOP BUYING AT LAUNCH. imagine if cdprojekts next big thing sells almost NOTHING initially? thats called a wake up call, but none of you have the balls to actually wait. or buy at launch and shut the fuck up and deal with the issues. your choice. but stop crying about it

  7. Hang on….. Hang on.
Now i will admit that the sneaky nature CDPR took towards what they showed and on what platform was very sly.
Also, the game should not have launched in the state it was in.
However, here you are making a video about not doing videos hyping up games? You hyped up games before Cyberpunk, you have hyped up games since Cyberpunk, and now you are saying that hyping up games is bad and Cyberpunk is dead????
Firstly, what are you playing Cyberpunk on? I have seen your videos in the past and you are so obviously a screaming Sony Pony, i assume you played it on the PS5?
I played it on the Series X.
Now to begin with yeah, it was rather dodgy.
    Cars levitating, NPC's vanishing.
I left it a couple months and then came back to it.
I can honestly say it was one of the best games and visually stunning games i have played.
From the side mission that was literally hours of game play in itself, working for a street gang to get stolen military hardware.
Choosing to do it stealthily, opens up another path where you are contacted by ''The Clan'' as they call themselves, that offer you to screw over the original people that offered you the job, and to sell it too them instead for a higher price and to have their tech savvy guy implant a new targeting mod in your body.
I chose to do just that and had some intense battles, stealth missions and another option to contact Judy and ask her advice on exactly what this military hardware is.
You then have the romance option which opens up new avenues and missions.
I was female V, romanced Judy……. that opened up the heist missions and the underwater levels and uncovering Judy's past and why she is the way she is.
You have the murders too solve which i just loved.
I did more side quests in this than any other title i played.
Now yeah, i get that if you tried this on a standard PS4 or XB1…… it looks utter gash.
But you can't expect consoles that weak too run these sorts of games, it is like trying too run new PC games on PC's that just can't handle it……. You don't see the PC fan base losing their minds at having a PC too weak to play a game on.
But on the Series X it looked stunning, crisp, colourful, the characters were detailed.
I didn't have one single crash.
The only thing i did notice was a few cars travelling a bit…… odd.
But other than that, i loved it.
People will always hype games! Look at Call of Duty.
That player base are more confused than Scooby Doo.
Every year it is new Cod, huge hype, it releases……. they bitch about the maps, weapons, spawns, servers…… say it is the worst CoD ever.
New CoD and Beta announced, huge hype…… it releases and you guessed it….. the same people, same streamers do nothing but bitch about it being bad.
It has been that way since the birth of the internet, just accept it….. it is human nature.
People like you need things to hype about otherwise you wouldn't have a YT channel.
I don't get why you get so worked up about things fella….. i have seen your videos in the past and things like this really rattle you.
Nobody forces us to buy or play games.
I loved this game, but would i play it again because they release a next gen patch? No! there are too many new games out.
You said yourself, your words…. ''I really enjoyed my first play through when i played this, the side quests and mission''.
So if that's the case, why you getting so stressed.
Perhaps CDPR are putting it off because they want to fix it once and for all for the new wave of people that haven't played it.
Just chill pal and enjoy gaming.

  8. Saying it's 'dead' is quite an exaggeration. The game is still alive. On life support, yeah, but alive. It's never going to be what they originally promised, though, that much is very clear, no matter how many fixes they throw at it.

  9. Part of cyberpunk problem was people like you! How many videos did you make hyping this trash? Pushing it on others and collecting revenue?
Granted most were smart to look past your bias hype, but many fell for your bs. You and other streamers should be mandated to volunteer work.

  10. Complain and complain more, it's hard to fix the game, it just takes a lot of time to rework many systems,

Can't expect it to be done for a short time of course,
You better not touch for a while and not think about it,
Try again in a year or so
