Cyberpunk is a far cry type adventure shooter. New Vegas is a role playing game with bad gun play mechanics but branching quests. Apples to oranges.
Y´know? I always say that Cyberpunk is a really amazing game if you never read or knew about Cyberpunk before as that could be a turning point to actually enjoy the game as it is now.
Back then, they promised that the game was suppose to be an RPG with varity of choices and even make different paths to have different expiriences in each path, something that never happened in game.
BUT if you never know about that then the game is a good purchase as it has a things to make you think (not as much as NV in my opinion) and it is really enjoyable, just don´t expect to have a lot of replayability as NV for example, but overall a good game. whispers the anime is better than the game itself.
Haha…no. Fallout New Vegas is a masterpiece, Cyberpunk was released a mess and is only better because of the copius amount of updates they released after it's dumpster fire release.
I mean Cyberpunk 2077 could have been better than Fallout New Vegas. But they failed, miserably.
I'd say Fallout New Vegas is thematically consistent. The idea that "War never changes" is examined throughout the main story and several sidequests as well, it's this idea that conflict between humans is to some extent inevitable, and you can see how violence and war has affected people from different perspectives, like for example Boone's quest being about him dealing with the loss of his wife and the events that transpired at Bitter Springs, there's also Veronica trying to convince the Elder that the Brotherhood should end it's "lockdown" (a situation triggered by a conflict with the NCR over Helios One), and those are just two characters that came to mind.
In a way, it's true that New Vegas has a much more "diluted" narrative, but in my opinion it helps to tell a story in a way that only a videogame could do, and this is a huge merit, wich by no means it's me saying that this approach to storytelling is without flaw or that it's always better than a more linear structure for a RPG, I just don't believe that the freedom given to the player in the game somewhat hinders it's capacity to maintain a consistent theme when those two aspects are not mutually exlusive at all in this particular case.
It's only better bc you can't run in nv…
i mean cyberpunk gameplay is better for me but overall fallout is better
I don't hate you for liking cp2077 because that's just stupid there are so many things i like that others wont so its just pointless to do so. But this video has many logical fallacies the first one is the appeal to pity this game made me think of life and death this also goes with that rant about people who are critical to things you like and they gave it a bad score the other one is a strawman you did not stay on topic you went on rants of things that did not matter you could have left the last part out all you had to do is talk about a game you like more than the other but you just could not do it you said the classic argument of long man bad they just hate and nitpick and people did talk about things other than bugs you just did not mention it to paint the people that don't like it as those that did not play the game when in fact a lot of people did play it trough but you bringing that up would mean you would have to argue more than it gave me a felling and the only other one ill bring up is the circular argument where all this video is boiled down to is I like this game how come no one talks about this game but a game I less in joy gets talked about non stop you can just say I'm a fall out nv fan boy but I could say the same to you but I'm not going to do that so you cant just simplify this as bad faith I watched your entire video I thought about what you said and took time to write and explained why I thought the way I did and honestly honestly why should I have done that and why should I have given my explanation on why your last part of the video is not a great argumentation when you will not even do the same for others if any one is bad faith its you
I disagree
im like wtf this dude has 300 sups.. your quality is out of the roof not only the editing your comunicate the analysis in such good clear way. Especally with the meaning of the game "life is worth living, but you have fight for it!" hit me really.
Thank you, i apriciate that very much..
Stay safe, stay strong you deserve it =)
One Love
“New Vegas is surprisingly political”
Jesus fucking Christ great sign when the video essayist is shocked by the presence of politics in this series that is 80% of political commentary
Fallout New Vegas is overrated. That's it it's over hyped.
Everybody sees it at this cult classic but I played it and it's eh it's fine.
are u ok?
Something tells me you've never played divinity original sin 2
Love both of these games.
I was fighting myself over this when i beat cyberpunk n new vegas has been my favorite game for like 7 years(i played NV n 3 a month before 4 came out) and id say its still my favorite just bc the fact i did 0 story for my first like 20 hours i literally walked in a direction and played…. The fact that u can do that is what puts fallout over cyberpunk for me
While I don't quite agree with some points made about FNV's narrative, I will agree that this video is great and you actually made me think cyberpunk deserves a second playthrough to really grasp it's intricacies that I've missed the first time around, subscribed.
i agree so much, cyberpunk is miles better in gameplay and story
bruh this fanbase can't even mentally handle hearing that Fallout 3 is a good game telling them that cyberpunk is better than NV would literally melt their brains lmao
New Vegas Fans aren’t going to like this😆🤣
Its sad that such a great game is infested with hivemind people who think vegas can do no wrong
No.
Really great review and good editing hope you blow up soon
Did Cyberpunk fix that 6 months of skipped gameplay yet?
40:54 same
great video! i played cyberpunk 2077 on the base ps4, and it ran ok (had a handful of issues but nothing that a seasoned bethesda fan cant handle). absolutely loved the game and the story regardless of the state it came out in (i adore the cyberpunk genre, the game is such a love letter to it).
personally tho i think that (20:51) is one of my few main gripes with the story, the game was designed in a way that is somewhat off for me personally. cdpr was trying to tell a fairly linear, story driven (as u said in 36:55) but is set in an open world which causes dissonance between the narrative, the player, and the gameplay. the ticking time bomb trope doesn't fit well with an open world, the game saying that the player is about to die during cutscenes then proceeding to let them do whatever gig or ncpd hustles like a checklist doesn't feel right. the only thing reminding the player to continue the main narrative of trying to find a cure are the occasional hardware malfunctions reminding the player, the coughing of blood (both of which are well done btw), and the player's own level of personal investment in the narrative.
the other issue i have with the game was the somewhat weak narrative foundation caused by cutting a lot of the first act. the game begins with a general zero to hero trope, all of which occur bc of a fall from grace (the fall of the bakkers, failing in atlata, terminated by arasaka). the initial motivation was to make it big (to gain fortune and to leave a mark in NC), majority of V's convictions and motivations are tied to jackie but as a result of using the montage and the short intro, it doesn’t give the player enough time with jackie and enough time to learn about the world of cyberpunk. ii find it weird that for how big of an influence jackie had on v, we barely had enough time with him. edgerunners kinda had this problem too, we dont get to see enough of the relationship between david and the mother. not getting enough of the formative figures of the main character kinda creates dissonance as well when the game tells the player about the importance of jackie when the interactions with the character didnt feel sufficient enough for me to have formed an attachment to the character. additionally, having such a short prologue and act 1 makes the heist feel unearned. we only watch v and jackie do a couple of low level missions but we dont really get to actually contribute to their rise. we dont get to have a sense of progression so when we get to meeting dex, the "heist of a lifetime" doesn't feel earned (the only mission we get before that was the scav haunt rescue which compared to a heist vs arasaka feels like its peewee sunday league). extending act 1 by even just a bit by realizing the montage into actual playable sequences would probably help out in fleshing out the relationship with jackie, make v's motivations feel more justified, and make the build-up to the heist of a lifetime feel earned.
with that aside tho, shits goated fr. the story is stellar and game itself is outstanding. lots of substance (like enough for someone to make a literary analysis of it https://fresh-prince-of-denmark.tumblr.com/) and really emotionally gripping, truly a game to make u shit and cry
Can you put your new Vegas mod load order in a video or in the description? Your game looks fantastic.
I also like how in both games you get shot in the head and survived story-wise gameplay-wise you survive everything
come on now, that's just a stupid claim. new vegas is 15 years old… comparing cyber punk today to new vegas back then. there is no competition. at all. if your comparing both by today's standards then i guess you could say in a technical sense it's better, but as an rpg? you have to be joking.
Guess I'm timestamps guy this time:

It is your opinion to have and I will not argue with that, however, it is objectivly wrong. Enjoy the games you love friends.
New Vegas is my #1 game of all time both in terms of my subjective opinion of it and by number of hours played on my Steam account. Of course I'm going to disagree with anyone who says that "x game is better" because either I haven't played the game they like more or because I have my own reasons for liking New Vegas more.
All of the above having been said, my biggest problem with Cyberpunk 2077 was purely a personal one on my part—I really don't like cyberpunk as a setting. Same reason I didn't like Blade Runner when I saw it. If New Vegas was a game set in 21st-century sci-fi dystopia and Cyberpunk was a post-apoc raygun-gothic meets spaghetti western, that would change the way I approached my opinion of each.
XD
I don't know about this one man I'ma be honest.
Nah I agree. This has replaced New Vegas for the time being as a my go-to single player RPG. For now..
Awesome video! I played Cyberpunk 2077 when it first released and on a Xbox One S, while I did experience some bugs I didn't think it was to the extent that the overall gaming community stated it was, that being it was unplayable. I likened the situation to the release of Fallout 76 but that game managed to gain a cult following, so I didn't listen to the negative feedback and focused on the story and the worldbuilding. And I'm glad I didn't listen to the negativity as Cyberpunk is now one of my favorite games as the story, the setting (Night City is an amazing playground), the characters, the lore, all of it made the game so fun and engaging to play, even with the bugs.
Gonna disagree on few things, though I have to bring up. We not gonna mention the trailers spoiling 1/3 of the game? Like that's my biggest issue with the game is that I couldn't experience it without the whole first act being spoiled to the letter.
9:11 Why does Caesar’s face looks like Popeye The sailor man or Mr.Clean lol 😂.
Mods : it just works .
I think that new Vegas story and themes or theme are still consistent as well as it's a different beast of a game all together I don't think other than clickbait reasons that this title applies here. Also I think that while it's good for some people to play it's still not very good in and playable yeah but it was still technically playable before just 76 lvls of glitches and there's still allot of tech issues. I feel allot of what beatemups said still applies and your character in Vegas is what you make them the comparisons made from TV shows and other games I don't feel work the same here as that isn't the point of fallout I feel the only differences in the story of cyberpunk is the beginning and ending and v along with Johnny silverhand are kinda unlikable jerks at times. There's allot more that I could say but I don't think this message needs to be any bigger than this oh I never found myself caring about combat or exploring in cyberpunk as I got bored fast and your combat is only as good as what you use it for and I don't find these enemies as fun interesting or engaging enough for me to care like fallout not just Vegas either.
🤡
Psssssh this dude probably likes Johnny Guitar
Cyberpunk 2077 main story is incredible that not only it tells a story of a dying man, but it makes you feel like a dying man. The fear of losing one’s self and the desperation after failing to find the cure felt real, especially when the amazing voice acting kicks in. But the whole game doesn’t feel like that.
With check-list Open World Game where minimap is filled with a bazillion side activities, I always clear them out first before tackling any main quest. Therefore, my V felt like he has all the time in the world to fix all the problems in Night City, and then he just collapsed in the last few minutes. I don’t feel like dying man for the whole game, and that desperation, while great, was inconsistent to my V who just kicks back in his car, listening to NCPD radio to check for more crime activities to solve.
This has to be one of the dumbest videos I've ever seen. Bravo.
My brother in Christ you are playing a goofy deus ex clone with anime influences
