CD Projekt RED (CDPR) have done one of the best jobs in the history of gaming creating a video game that not only had one of the worst launches ever but a game that still creates hype almost 18 months later. Cyberpunk 2077 had a launch that was diabolical, a launch that actually got Sony to remove the game from the Playstation store for over 100 days then put up a warning for those buying the game on the PS4 when the game eventually returned to the store. YouTube creators got so much backlash from gamers that some unlisted their original review for Cyberpunk 2077, completely changing their opinion on the title. Cyberpunk has become a more polished game over time but after nearly 18 months there is nothing to it besides a next gen version of the game and updates which were purely to fix the issues of their poorly executed game development. I saw this game was stupid from the jump. Plus first person open world games don’t sit well with me
I'm baffled at the concurrent player count. Mfers must be lonely. Because it's not the combat AI, gunplay, or driving.
fair opinion, corporate did make them release the game earlier than intended and so they kept working afterwards to fix it and still are obviously. However even though im not a fan of cdpr i mean i like them but i only purchased this at 15EUR no diehard here, i must admit the game is good, more than worth for the price i paid. i do hope this game gets hyped again, its a great game with an amazing city, seriously the city in cyberpunk grabs the city of Los Santos in GTA V and thows it in the trash, thats how well built and fckin awesome Night City is. It´s amazing. the gameplay is good, ai is more than capable to kill u, and if u play on hard mode which isnt the worst mode you will die trust me. if go into this game with GTA V in mind and play like the video here where u just want to drive around mess with ppl than its the wrong mind set, this game as much more to offer and you dont need to be a genius to acknowledge this.
On the plus side, it's taken the heat off of No Man's Sky.
yes mister elden ring in 2022 with ps3 graphics is acceptable and its a masterpiece , well done and good job from soft.
The price of this game was $9.99 for over 2 months. Now it’s back up to $59.99. Only a fool would pay full price for this.
I bought it on release played an hour and realised it wasn’t ready! Put it away and waited for the series x upgrade,glad i waited because I loved it!

It actually worked fine on Stadia out of all things lol. But the game was nowhere near what they promised. I was hoping to live in it. Oh well Elden Ring exceeded everything for me. CDPR either just has to give up and move on to W4 or pull off a No Man's Sky

its in desperate need of a major expansion. and it needs some polish to its graphics.
I waited until about a month ago to buy the game for $29 on Steam. It's still a buggy mess and blows my mind. It's not even as pretty as I expected. My RTX 3080 struggles with this game and I just can't see the level of detail that should justify it. The way this game overpowers hardware, you'd think the mirror in my apartment would work or at the very least, I should be able to see myself in the reflections about the world but no, visually, my character doesn't exist in the game. And why do characters and cutscenes not sync? Why do they walk through solid objects? Why does a cut scene suspend all collisions in the world instead of working with the already existing environment? Why can I take 30% fall damage hopping off a burrito vending machine but I can safely jump off a skyscraper as long as I slide off the edge? This game makes no sense. I struggled to make sense of it for 19 hours of gameplay and I'm already over it. I can't be assed to play any more.
I have an xbox series X, if you are holding your breath waiting to try the "next gen" upgrade dont bother. Its a hardly noticable difference, the game is still unpolished and unfinished.

It was a decent game for me. I enjoyed it but it was nowhere near what we were promised. Honestly, I went back with the current gen update to see what it was all about and I liked the changes they made but it wasn't near enough to bring me back for a full playthrough. If they drop some serious single player DLC I will check it out.
Trust no game developer. They're all based on profit and politics now. The University Children with their Hive-mimds have taken over the industry and they're used to putting out minimal effort for everything they do.
i'll try it again once they mange to patch some fun into the game. absolutely a slog fest, forcing myself to play a few times and just hating every minute of it.
I ran three complete runs and got board with it might try it again when they drop DLC. 😅

It's not just the holiday season that saw Cyberpunk release early it's also that it had already been delayed by about a year, I think this was the 4th release date it had gotten, and represented a massive sunk cost to investors. They absolutely needed to get it out the door, one way or another as it was at risk of turning into Vaporware. This thing would have only become more of a disaster not less of one.
It's a travesty what happened but at the end of the day Cyberpunk is unique, there is only one Sci-Fi GTA and this is it. Until Obsidian or someone else makes a competitor it will continue to be popular.
I enjoyed my time with it (PC) and will definitely do a proper playthrough a year or two down the line again once I am certain all patches and any possible DLC are in. I really hope they fired whoever set the game's initial release date though since he was obviously clueless, by that point of PS4 and XOne versions wouldn't have even been a bugfest, they'd have just been a concept art slideshow.

You kept saying they haven't released a single DLC since launch, but they literally have released numerous small DLC like new cars, guns, cybernetics, RPG rebalances, quality of life updates like apartments, customization, etc. It may not be new missions, activities and stuff, but you're simply just giving false information.
