LIES LIES LIIIIIIIIESSSSSSSSSS, they lied to us.
If anyone is confused about exactly what happened, essentially CDPR announced that development for the game is essentially ending, there will be a skeleton crew working on Cyberpunk 2077 and the first and only expansion will release in 2023 while they focus on other projects. Cyberpunk will never be what was advertised and that's it.
