I can tell the coding for this game was an absolute mess. As it seems two separate teams worked on npc animation and the other for V's animation. It would of been better if they implemented the npc animations to V and give us a first person perspective from that. And position the camera on the body for it to be playable. This would avoid issues with the player shadows and also allow Ray tracing to be implemented on V for reflective surfaces without it being a horror to look at. Hence making it a more immersive experience.
I think there was a reason 3rd person wasn't incorporated into this game
