Cyberpunk 2077 is changing forever with the free Update 2.0 but also we’re getting a huge expansion in Phantom Liberty and I’ve played both of them before they release. Here’s my thoughts about the big overhaul Update 2.0 but remember, my Phantom Liberty coverage with new gameplay will go live down the road as well.

Update 2.0 comes out on the 21st for free and Phantom Liberty released on the 26th as a paid expansions.

  1. I'm not very excited for the patch. I played the game before and the patch doesn't add new content, it just reworks stuff, still the same quests. It's phantom liberty that's making me consider playing this game again.

  2. When I could still see, I loved playing video games. I still love video games, even though I can’t play them anymore. I don’t miss playing that much, at least till now. Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield are two games I really wish I could play. That being said though, I am very glad they exist and many people can enjoy them. luckily, there are many Let’s Plays on the Internet that I can listen to and enjoy the games that way.

  3. Thanks for the review. What can I expect as a player who has gone through the entire storyline thrice (all endings)? What do I get at the start of picking up and going straight into Phantom Liberty?

  5. Another great video, thank you. I really think the 2.0 build is the game that we were intended to get from the beginning. I honestly don't see how some of these systems (like the police/wanted system) are going to work the way they seem to, and yet not be part of the very DNA of the game. I suspect that a lot of the systems we all complained about were merely "placeholder" mechanics, and someone at the investor side of things decided these were good enough for a launch, and by releasing early they could capture those buyers who were still rolling on a PS4 base console (or Xbox 1x).

  6. The biggest deal is when the modding community has to adjust to the update. There WILL be mods rendered redundant by the update and others made more epic by it. After 2.0 we have a GTA RPG that is worth it.

Overall let Cyberpunk be what it is as all games in this year will be what they are, leave your 'which game is better' dick size comparison contest in bed with all the grimy sweat.

  7. I feel almost as excited for cyberpunk as i did when it first came out. Thats saying something for a singular update and expansion.

Red engine … honestly its sad. Theres too many unreal and unity games. We really need unique engines out there. I mean the unity thing seems to have solved itself in that regard; i feel bad for the unity devs out there but seriously theres a bunch of games with unity or unreal splash screens.

  8. "Is now an entirely new game".
It has been 3 years. It should have been a new game not a game I do not want to play again. Played through it twice, want 2078 or whatever is next. Not lipstick on a pig.

  9. Exited to hear that you think people are really going to like 2.0. I never finished the game and have been waiting for it to reach it’s potential before reinstalling and starting again. Sounds like now might be the time. (Though it’s going to have to share me with Starfield.) I don’t know about “kudos” to them for making the update free though. They’re releasing a paid expansion and I don’t begrudge them that at all. But bringing the main game up to a place where arguably it should have been to begin with in conjunction with that paid expansion, is going to seem to many to be the least they could do.
For myself I wish them all the best with it. I’m lucky enough to have been fairly happy with the Cyberpunk I already had and when I finish it I’ve no doubt I’ll buy the expansion.
