With Phantom Liberty just around the corner, it was time for me to dive into Cyberpunk 2077 on my Xbox Series X for a first impressions video. I previously played this on my PS4 Slim at launch, and it plays, looks, and feels like an ENTIRELY different game on the Series X.

That was my experience on PC at launch, I didn’t have any small or big bugs, maybe the occasional car popin in the distance, but no bugs with char animation, story or such. It was a fantastic game and still is. I didn’t expect the heaven like some others but I got rewarded with one of the most immersive and visually impressive experiences ever. It’s such a shame the game got off so bad because of their executive decisions.
I played Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop in the 90s, so this game was a no brainer for me. As a PC player, it was so difficult finding a good content creator to follow that wasnt obsessed with the last gen console performance and who just talked about the story. I wish I would have found your channel back then.
Apparently Quantic Labs, the studio entrusted with QA for the consoles, flat out lied to CDPR about how testing of the game was going. Sadly, though, management failed to do due diligence, & instead allowed investors to bully them into launching the game on the arbitrary December 2020 date. Even a mere 4 month delay, just on consoles alone, would have done wonders for their reputation.
1:44 – 2:08 – why do I feel like I am on a plane getting ready for take off ? LOL Your little intro here is very pilot esk.
My biggest issue with cp2077 patches, is they always manage to REMOVE CONTENT while "fixing" bugs and performance issues.
– If anyone is dedicated enough they could make a very long detailed video on the differences between the og disk version w/o day 1 or any patches compared to the current version with all patches included. I have yet to see anyone tackle such a project.
ofc there is a huge difference – one is last gen the other is not. They really never should have released it for "last gen" (even though it was actually "current gen" when the game was first announced).
I will confess that I did enjoy cp2077 but I am still bitter towards CDProjectRed. They have a very very long way to go before they ever come close to earning my respect again.
