Night City is as dark and dangerous as it is colorful. You can encounter a different event at every corner. You may come across an armed conflict and become involved. Or it is entirely up to you to save a citizen who is about to be robbed. You can handle these things like pulling a hair out of butter in your own garbage. But when you turn into darker, darker streets or enter a region under the control of a big gang, if you act as a hero, they give you a mouthful. You eat the bullet into your brain without taking your head out of the trench. At this point, you realize that the navigation always shows the main roads on the way to the mission. Once again, I found a shortcut and turned into an alley. Here, gang members cut me off and a small-scale conflict ensued. Especially if you encounter similar scenarios in high-level areas, your probability of getting out of that street alive is very low. Events like these have managed to reinforce the brutal atmosphere of the Night City.
