I just tested a Quadro K2200 with a 3rd gen i5 in Cyberpunk today. Using FSR 2.1 with Ultra performance, I was able to get it to run at a locked 30fps using Ultra Performance, which FSR 3 doesn't have. And FSR 3 settings run at a higher internal resolution compared to the 2.1 equivalent setting. I tried the FSR frame gen and it fell flat on its face. Stutterfest. I then tried Lossless scaling with a render resolution of 720p and upscaling with LS1 to 1080p with 2x frame gen. Because of the overhead, I was only able to get it to run at 25fps internally with 2x frame gen (LSFG 2.3) to get a steady 50fps.
I think LS1 is better than DLSS or FSR and LS Frame Gen 2.3 is far more efficient than either FSR 3 or DLSS 3 frame gen. It definitely looks better than FSR frame gen and looks at least as good as DLSS Frame gen. It is also more efficient.
I ultimately decided it was better to play Cyberpunk set at 1080p30 with FSR 2.1 Ultra Performance even though it wasn't the best looking option. It was, however, the option with the lowest input latency.
While I have had great results with Lossless Scaling in other games, it seems like it doesn't play so well with Cyberpunk and I was surprised it even worked in the first place because Cyberpunk has no fullscreen mode and LS says you must run games in fullscreen mode.
Underrated channel
Best settings for AMD with RT is the FSR 3.1 mod, and the ghosting fix with FG on. With DLSS set to quality (FSR 2.1), setting it to DLAA or turning off the upscaler and just running the FSR FG mod gives you extremely bad input lag. Too bad these asshats botched the update and gave us shitty 3.0
Problem is every FSR update past 2.1 isn't just an upgrade. Its some improvements + some downgrades. I always felt like 2.1 was overall better than 2.2, what it did right was more important.
And I know 3.1 has some flaws compared to 2.2 but I haven't tested 3.1 enough to determine if its better than 2.1 yet.
But its sad that the progression of FSR has been linear.
