With mods, I had a really enjoyable and immersive 50 hour playthrough, but I still hope the game improves and grows a lot though. The biggest weaknesses are the lack of dynamic events and activities that happen in the open world and also the lack of ways to interact with the open world. Both of those will make the game actually feel alive which is how Night City is supposed to feel, instead of the shell with potential it currently is.
I usually play like the showcase.
I watched so many times the 48 minute demo with that "pathing" slow that when the game came out I just wanted to play like the demo all the time.
I roleplayed almost every action I did. I mean, for example, going to clean a few NCPD scanner checkpoints? First I decide which equipment I'll use in my apartment, then I'll drive to the destination and scan the zone from a roof or something, I don't know. That's the way I enjoy Cyberpunk, and that without any mechanics that impulses you to inmerse yourself… such as drinking anims on every vendor type, ripperdoc and lack of activities… imagine with them…
Uhm, and I will add, don't you use a controller for the driving and switch between it and KB:M?
So beautiful
this game has an amazing world design, lighting, graphics and atmosphere but that also just sums it all up, pretty lacking in immersion with like a police system and good npc ai
Glad things are turning around and CP2077 is finally getting some love. Hopefully 2022 will be a good year for CDPR and Cyberpunk!
@LKM Think you mentioned u have rtx 3070? I am on on 3080ti and dunno why DLSS is looking terrible at times even on quality setting. I prefer far more to lower RT settings or sometimes even to keep only RT reflections and turn off DLSS as stabilily and clarity of the picture on 1440p is much better. Not to mention weird artifacts on dlss. AND GOD ABOVE HDR LOOKS GRAT ON CP2077.Great upload as usually !!!
I never thought I'd say it, but after going through entire game, I've no enemies to fight left, it's really hard to find anyone. Few npc where gangs might hang out and that's it. I don't know what else to do in the game, coz it feels empty alas =(
I really wish I could get a decent framerate even without RTX lol. Hopefully with my upcoming CPU upgrade, it should help out significantly.
Talk to me. Frames? Resolution? I'm thinking of getting 3080 to run this bad boy at max with RTX on in 1440p, but will it be enough? For 60fps at least?
Very nice! I'm looking forward for the PS5 Graphics patch!
I don't get how people are still bitching about the lackluster police AI, as if this was some kind of GTA 2077. The police are just a gimmick, and don't contribute anything to the actual gameplay and storytelling. If there were no police it all, it wouldn't even matter.
Cyberpunk 2077 is closely related to the very first Deus Ex, not GTA.
wow so empty
THICC
I wasn't expecting this but a very nice surprise
Cyberpunk never ceases to amaze me what an amazing city
This looks gorgeous 😍 I'm waiting until I can get hold of a 30xx card before I jump back in… might actually be 2077 at this rate 😕
Is it just me or does night city look very empty ??
Waiting for Next Gen Patch for my Series S.
Look, this game still has some problems and cdpr did some shady stuff with launch and last gen, but I started a new playthrough recently after all the updates on base ps4. The performance has drastically improved. It's night and day. There could still be more "quality of life" improvements, but the game is definitely worth experiencing. If you can wait for free dlc and expansions, it will be even better. Cdpr has a talented development team specifically. Seeing how far the game has come performance wise is really giving me hope that we can get something great out of this.
Fans then: Can't wait for them to release the game so i can play the shit out of it.
Fans how: Can't wait for them to patch the game so i can play the shit out of it.
I still think 3rd person add on would revive the game
I've been playing it again a lot recently, and I swear the Blade Runner mod might be the main reason why. lol
Man…you crossed road on the red light
There is no game that comes close to feeling as impressive as Cyberpunk.
So… Are we gonna talk about yesterday?
I'm looking forward to playing this game in a year. On launch I only had minor problems and had so much fun, but after a crazy bug my save was deleted. I am looking forward to seeing how it is in a year or so, maybe even with dlcs. In the meantime, I will get my shit together.
I think at night time the streets are a bit too empty for a city that(based on this size and density) should never sleep. I even hope they can optimise CPU performance more in terms of AI woth later patches and give us even denser crowds.
Amazing
I can not wait that the future holds for this game, I really love it and can lose myself in it despite all the imperfections. I truly believe that the upcoming updates and expansions will make tha game even better.
So much potential….. so very much potential . It is wasted on a action adventure game. Good or bad, it’s just wasted. Action adventure games are used to immerse you in a story. The whole focus is derived into a linear story priority. Outside of that story it’s just an empty sandbox. The immersion happens within the story and following that main narrative as it wants to progress in its linear path.
This world of cyber punk is meant for a RPG design. New leader ship messed up when they decided to change that design in 2018 from a RPG as was intended into this action adventure game design. Reason being is that in a RPG the priority is everything OK the immersion happens within the world. So the story, the characters, The narratives, the NPC‘s, the environments, the mechanics, they are all meant to immerse you in the over arching priority which is the entire world. It’s meant to transport you into this world. It does not stop at the story because the story is not the only or main priority, it’s not that linear, it’s not that limited .
CDPR previous projects prove this though the earlier ones had much more innovating to do, but the priority was always the RPG design and immersion into the world. Mike knew this as well even though his original RPG was more of a table top, but resources were limited. But watching you drive around with these max settings LKM in this world, It screams for a RPG design. I think it actually shows the evidence of the originally intended RPG design. Which is why it is so painful when seeing this beautiful but empty world that you cannot immerse yourself in because all of the immersion is within the confinement of the linear main story because it is a action adventure game design. Beautiful world with so much wasted potential.
I want to know how the hell youre getting a stable framerate in the area just outside of v's aparment megabuidling my game drops to 40 fps sometimes. I have to finagle a lot of settings to get a stable 60+ fps in most areas. I have a asus tuf 3080ti, i7 6700k, corsair vengance 32gb of ram running at 2133 mhz since the cpu doesn't support higher than that and running xmp results in boot failure. I have this game on a portable ssd but it has half the read and write of your m.2. So I dont think the drive its on is the issue, but I can always try to put it on my hdd
Cyberpunk graphics are really something else…
my gtx 1060 barely runs this thing on low settings 😢
Guys I just bought I very good pc , do you recommend playing cyberpunk is it worth playing?
Man, this game is amazing. Looks gorgeous, too.
I wish the game had more first person animations, they really dropped the ball in that department. That and more dynamic world events and maybe even locking the camera during certain story cut scenes could do so much for the game.
5:25 Lookin at that hurts me a lot
The RTX implementation is definitely gorgeous. But there are at least two thing I'm convinced by watching this video.
The first is the rain. When the vehicle passes under the speedway it seems like an effect is being turned on and off rather than you're getting cover from the rain. And in the desert area it has a little a animation to make it seem like you're going through the rain but it mostly feels like a static filter applied to the image.
The second thing what little can be seen from destruction. That street lamp has no weight at all, it feels like cardboard. I think it's more apparent due to quality of the visuals, you expect to watch it go down like it's the real thing.
Lockdown DLC?
This was almost exactly my experience playing the game at launch on a brand new 3080. Gorgeous visuals. Bugs were very rare (some asset loading and visual bugs, just like here, but almost nothing else). Just an overall impressive looking game, with just a few obvious cut corners here and there that unfortunately break immersion. For all the hard work CDPR put in this year, it's been depressing how little it feels like the game has changed. I really, really hope 1.5 is worth the wait.
