Why Cyberpunk 2077 Finally Clicked
Cyberpunk has had a rocky past few years, but with it’s recent updates, I figured it’s time to give the game a second chance. Shout out persona 5 music, I added one song from the ost and couldn’t stop myself. I may have gotten a bit too carried away. Subscribe!

I just picked the game up about 4 weeks ago. It was an amazing experience, honestly best story driven game ive played besides RD2. I wonder if they'll release a sequel 🤔
still better npcs than gta…….in gta 5 if u walk up to npcs they either try to jump you or call the cops on you for no reason and you get a star……..
I was so fuckin dissapointed when it dropped, even pre-ordered it… I felt so cheated out of my money. Started a whole new character after phantom liberty and I have to say, its a really good game now and I enjoy playing it so much. Nice video btw. I can relate to a lot of ur points!
At least for nomad, you do get a small questline. You can get your old car from when you meet Jackie in the shack.
I’ve loved the game since launch. I even loved it on my base model PS4.
Actually for every life path- you get one new side quest for each.
Mod the game to take everything "cyber" out so I don't have to have all this HUD trash on my screen all the time….and MAYBE I'll forgive the horrible voice acting, terrible plot, juvenile writing, etc…watching all you 13 year olds react to this game like it's the first time you ever heard a cuss word and saw boobs is so cringe. Read a freakin book. This ain't mature at all. Compared to STARFIELD it's freakin Sophocles. But to anyone over 20 it's like freakin Marvel Movies. It's not cool or interesting or dangerous or sexy or edgy. It's just dumb.
This game has been amazing so far since I bought it
On my 3rd restart of the cp2077 it finally clicked for me too. Just finished the campaign after 3 years. Very good game
Great game. I didn't have issues with it at launch on PC, putting well over 300 hours into it, but now? Wow, what a game. It should have been game of the year…except BG3 is also incredible and was a full game release as opposed to a big expansion and huge overhaul. I liked the progression and skill trees before as well as how they used Cyberware, but oh my gosh is it so much more enjoyable now. It was like playing a different game. Little things like "Air dash" really do add a TON to the game and how you play.
I do, however, think the game would have been better had there been a third person mode. I also understand why they went with 3rd person though, and it has little to do with immersion. They had a difficult time getting this to run well on last gen consoles, we all know that. Now imagine trying to get this to run on consoles if it were third person. The amount of animations required would have absolutely destroyed old, current gen and most PC's to boot at launch. They would have had to make some serious downgrades to the rest of the visuals if they wanted anyone with less than a 6800XT/RTX 3080 to be able to play it at 1080P/High Settings/FSR/DLSS Quality at 60FPS without raytracing. Just look at The Witcher 3 with Raytracing Global Illumination on and it's performance as an example. Then imagine if they went with semi-photorealistic graphics and tried that with Cyberpunk…this art style simply would not have been possible. They would have needed to go with cartoon graphics to make it work. Now I am personally fine with that, but it isn't what the team wanted, so stuck in first person it is. Lol, looking at the game in third person mode via mods and you'll also see that the game probably would have taken another year to come out as the animations simply are not there for the player character. They are BAD. Easy to hid in first person, impossible to hide in 3rd.
Anyway, again, the game itself is a blast, and it really is to bad they are not coming out with another expansion for it. Granted, they put out about an expansion's worth of content for free with updates and patches over the last two years, but it does make me a bit sad the the last gen console launch did end up costing them tens if not a hundred million USD in patches just to make it run tolerably AND made a second and possibly a third expansion impossible. Man the 2 expansions with a possible third that they had planned before launch would have been incredible, but hey, sometimes life goes a bit awry and we just have to roll with it. In first person, as I can't even imagine how bad a player character rolling animation would be… :^) .
I still have hilarious memories of the release. I was doing a gig where I had to infiltrate a wake for some gang member and while im sneaking in a npc car crashes into the wake and explodes killing almost everyone while I used it as a distraction, but when I got into the back my game bluescreened and crashed.
this just shows this game was insanely rushed to a not ready release date by either greed or ignorance. Doubt it was even from Devs but by publishers and investors.
Been a player of Cyberpunk 2077 since Day One on my PS4 (now playing in PS5) and since then, my goodness, it’s been a hell of a lot better! I love how they revamped the Cyberware and the Perks and Skill Tree! It feels a lot more specialized. I hate how they limited the Reset Skill Tree to just 1, but then again, I usually make multiple characters depending on the build and life path.
Some bugs still persist, but they are not as game breaking or immersion breaking 3 years ago.
All I gotta say, for anyone who wants to try the game at its current, GO FOR IT. The story, RPG elements, the world, and characters are just excellent! CDPR, along with other companies like Hello Games never gave up on their games, unlike some bigger AAA game studios who don’t give a crap on the game’s and will even charge micro transactions!
CP77 has sold over 25 million copies, so if 30,000 were refunded that's a tiny fraction. According to Google it's — 0.12%
Pretty sure most were butt-hurt console peasants because I played on PC at launch and it was fine…never crashed and only a few visual glitches.
Hi guys so i bought this yesterday for my ps4 slim. Im going to install it tomorrow and then have my cousin do the updates at his house with wifi. With the updates does it play ok on ps4 offline?
I get tired of people saying how bad it was on release. It was only bad on Console, PC was fine.
A true masterpiece, ill die on that hill.
This shouldn’t be forgiven as they’re a triple a studio and are extremely greedy, they know exactly what they are doing
Honestly you were just affected by negative bias during your first playthrough, 90% of mechanics in 2.0 are same as release. You just didn't give the game a chance because ''it was bad'' as most said. Personally i started playing as soon as it came out with my 1050ti laptop without checking reviews at all and it was so fun. Combat and mechanics were quite unique and fun back then as well while ofc now it is much better. People just jumped into lynch wagon and kept bashing the game without giving it a chance, console release was a total garbage for sure but PC release was solid expect city life. I completely agree npcs, police etc were really lifeless but great story and characters were making up for it..
I’ve said since day one of its release that Cyberpunk 2077 had underlying masterpiece potential. Now, here we are 3 years later and that potential has finally been reached. I never cared for the naysayers who were so hell bent on every existing issue the game once had. I went through my fair share of those moments, too. There were still nuances to be appreciated. The story was there, the depth of character immersion was there, a truly unique world to be explored that was like no other, and a build system that set itself apart from the rest having lead into a great style of combat. It just needed those tweaks and retouches for this to truly shine.
I always believed. I never gave up on this game. And, I’m glad that CDPR never gave up on it either as they continuously pushed the boundaries to give us what was promised. They deserve every bit of praise and commendation that they can receive for those efforts. Winning at the recent Game Awards for Best Ongoing Game to acknowledge how it has evolved over the years isn’t half bad for that type of merit.
Truthfully, even with all of the bugs that swarmed it on day one of its release, I loved Cyberpunk then. I love it even more now. I’m just glad to see many of those who frowned upon it at the beginning are now having a change of heart recognizing it for what I always believed it could be. Nothing short of an amazing experience. Cyberpunk 2077 is truly a masterpiece
