Cyberpunk 2077 – Early Game Infinite Credits from Vending Machine and Scraping

While probably not the fastest way to earn money in the game, it is one of the earliest way to gain credits by selling components. Components have no weight, so you can carry as much as you want, unlike weapons and clothing.

Any of the vending machines which spits out items that can be disassembled will generate more value for the cost of the initial purchase.

I’ve ran the numbers for it, as of patch 1.04.
1 vending machine drink cost €$10, ten eddies. These are the ones you can disassemble. Note, the other food items that HP regen, sold for €$5, can’t be disassembled.

With the perk “Mechanic” which gives you more components when disassembling, you can receive 6 common and 3 uncommon components. Which each sells for €$5 and €$8 per piece respectively, making you a total of €$54.

So it’s a net gain of €$44 per drink item.
Each machine can spit out anywhere between 5~50 drinks.
So each vending machine can potentially give you a profit of €$220~2200.

It doesn’t sound like much, but there’s no shortage of vending machines around. If it happens to get sold out, just run out of range for it to automatically restock. You can find streets lined up with vending machines, so just make your way up and down for an unlimited stockpile.

The only limiting factor might be the NPCs who buys up your junk, each drop point or NPC merchant only holds about €$20000. I haven’t seen them replenish their eddies aside from eddies you give them when purchasing items.

Note: This method is really only useful early on for Act 1, as prices of weapons and gear increases as the level increases. Eventually becomes a diminishing return on your ‘time’ spent in the game selling small value items. Also, since the rest of the map opens up, you’ll be able to access other exploits in the game for infinite money.
