  1. In fact, it is not a full-fledged DLSS4 that will be available on 5000 series cards, the Transformer model is more focused on improving image quality, especially when moving, because of this there is a slight drop in fps.
About the tests of the new graphics cards (rtx 5000), they will be after the release, nvidia did not send me them for the test, so I'm waiting for them to appear in the store, as soon as they appear I will make a maximal fast and fair tests. (I'll tell you a secret, the rtx 5090 will be out of stock in most countries upon release, with the 5080 the situation is a bit better.)

  2. average framerate seems a bit lower with the transformer model, but it seems like the frametime is a lot smoother with much higher 1% lows compared to the cnn model. and with the significantly improved visuals, seems like a net improvement overall at the expense of 4-5 fps on average.

  3. to put fsr 3 and amd frame generation it took 3 years… for nvidia the cards have not even come out, but there is already a nice gig from .20 to .21 that activates all the new features… damn.. with the .20 patch my modest rx 7800xt is equivalent to a 4070 ti …. of course without path tracing… but now I can put rt ultra and it goes from 55 to 65 fps on a resolution, with fsr active, 4k with quality setting and frame generation active. before I could never activate ray tracing unless playing at 20 fps. sorry for bad english

  4. I actually noticed that they need to do some work on the transformer model. I’ve done a few tests and when you turn on the transformer model things start to look a little fuzzy or in certain shadows versus the old model I think they need to work on that. For reference I’m on an RTX 4090

  5. 4090 285k with 96gb 6000, games completely maxed out and in 4K. ultra performance on new model, 100fps stable in city. Performance around 80-85. Frame gen performance around 120-130. Ultra performance with frame gen, never dips below 140. Visually, on performance with sharpness cranked it looks amazing.

  6. I just tried dlss for the first time by plugging in my 4060 laptop to my main monitor and i literally do not understand how there is so little artifacting and how the resolution is so good. Running dlss BALANCED at 1440p and it looks pretty damm good, way better than fsr 3 at quality for sure. I dont understand.

  7. We will never get away from Frame Generation anymore. With DLSS 4, it runs smoothly and will likely get better over the years. I am not saying whether this is positive or negative; it is simply the new reality.

  8. I did a 1 hour run on CP 2077 with the new dlss 4 mode (quality/balanced/performance mode). The image quality is really improved. Nvidia we can say, they have expensive cards but they improve their technology. Rasterization is running out of steam even for 5090 cards, AI will be the future and in a few years it will be very mature.
