DLSS 3.1.1 v2 compared with previous 2 versions DLSS 3.1.1 and 2.5.1
DLSS 3.1.1 is available on all GPUs from RTX 2060 to RTX 4090
DLSS 3.1.1 is super resolution, not to be confused with Frame Generation aka DLSS 3
*How to update DLSS*
1. Download latest DLSS from https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
File is digitally signed by Nvidia, so you don’t need to worry about any tampering.
2. Go to installation folder of your game
For steam this is usually Windows Drive – Program Files (x86) – Steam – steamapps – common –
You may have installed your game somewhere else though.
3. Open the game folder for which you want to update DLSS. Then go to binx64
Here you will find file nvngx_dlss.dll
(Please note that this folder is different for each game)
(Tip: First copy this file to any folder of your choice to create a backup)
4. Replace the nvngx_dlss.dll file with the one you downloaded in step 1
And that’s it, you have updated to newer DLSS version

Note 1: Multiplayer games like Battlefield, COD may see this as an attempt to cheat as you are tampering with files, so avoid doing this with such games.
Note 2: Newer DLSS need not be an upgrade, it can also bring new issues. Best to update DLSS only if you are having issues or if newer version is known to be better. (Subscribe channel, DLSS comparisons are covered here)
Note 3: To check DLSS version currently deployed, right click on nvngx_dlss.dll – Properties – Details – File Version –

  1. Nvidia released DLSS 3.1.1 on Feb 11, 2023 and 3.1.1 v2 on Feb 22, 2023. DLSS 3.1.1 is available on all GPUs from RTX 2060 to RTX 4090

    DLSS 3.1.1 is super resolution, not to be confused with Frame Generation aka DLSS 3

    It is basically DLSS 2 Version Number 3.1.1.

  4. The version 2.5.1 is stil the best for quality? I have been playing Hogwarts legacy with dlaa and i change the original file because when i start playing on dlss quality mode there was some sirious ghosting with 2.3.11. Thanks for this
    Ps: I Never play cyberpunk but i want to, what dll file do you suggest here ?
