One of Cyberpunk 2077’s developers has reacted to the game’s rise in popularity and a solid date for E3 2023 has been officially announced.

Cyberpunk 2077’s initial launch period was highlighted by game-breaking bugs and massive performance issues across last-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles at the time. In an unprecedented move, Microsoft and Sony began issuing refunds, with Cyberpunk 2077 being removed from the PlayStation storefront for a lengthy period of time.
Fast-forward to 2022, and Cyberpunk 2077’s road to recovery has seen developer CD Projekt release massive patches that have helped it find new life on console and PC. The recent Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series on Netflix has also helped shift new fans to the game, and on Steam the game has climbed the charts and remains in the top 10 most-played games on Steam currently.

My backlog is crazy so I just waited for Cyberpunk to be playable and after watching the anime I’m looking forward to playing.
Netflix also boosted views of cowboy bebop after they made their adaptation of it. Also side note i saw an unusual amount of jericho 941 purchases lol (spikes pistol). Netflix helped this amazing game I played week 1 on pc & BARELY encountered a bug played all way through so that ending was powerful for me 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾❤. 7700k gtx1070.
E3 has a new partners i hope they will not cancel it in 2023 like this year in 2022
Come on. It is good not great.
I really hope this is a NMS kind of comeback story. The game has so much potential and with future tech it might even surpass our original expectations.
The best host I have ever scene, and so handsome
A good game is a good game, it is a well deserved comeback
This is the proof of concept with anime colabs coming into the mainstream we needed. It's going to not only be here to stay, but I believe we're about to see an explosion of high quality anime and lore being more fleshed out for games we always hungered for!
Its unfair to compare CDPR to other publisher like ubisoft. Even if cyberpunk was a disaster its so much better than ubisoft can ever be.
Edgerunners made us want to check out the new update which makes the game just good enough to be what it should have been when it first launched
Sadly… theirs stocks are still pretty low…
But yeah, cb077 universe be kinda cool
Maybe i should buy some, to help it grow (if i knew how xd)
We need more of V and Night city, not only a single expansion we want more
game is still riddled with bugs and glitches and crashes a lot! Sure it's better but not much.. devs have NOTHING to be happy or proud about.
Who's fault was that though? they rushed an unstable buggy game with lots of cut content and features, current popularity is mainly due to the netflix anime and surge of its weeaboo players
Kinda sad, when the rise in numbers comes from the anime being good and not the game 😕
Bought this game on sale a while back, after knowing how much CDPR put into the Witcher(also loved) knew this game would eventually come up to par. Glad to see it make this much stride.
Finally, game is incredible from an amazingly talented developer. I've felt so gutted for CDP RED after the launch and it's about time they got their praise and reward.
Nearly ALL of Dino Dinovic's holocalls in the City Center are still of the game-breaking bug variety. You are left in limbo; unable to save.
What’s funny about the Ubisoft part is that they recently announced a Netflix partnership 😂😂
If only they did not botched the launch they could have been enjoying the success right of the bat
Regardless of whether you love the game or not, NEVER forget how CDPR treated it's fans, its staff and its shareholders, they lied and lied and lied, for years
I don't want to be cynical here, but seeing the cutscene with v, still makes me upset that the game didn't even had cutscenes to show your character. Red dead 2, god of War, heck even doom eternal, had great cutscenes to show off your character customization. But we only have a mirror in cyberpunk. Even resident evil 8 gold edition is getting a 3rd person view. Capcom found a way to do that. I wish cyberpunk would've gotten better treatment.
Got the game recently after I bought myself a Series X. What a great game. I am so impressed.
Cyberpunk: releases well done anime adaptation that does the universe justice, revives hated game
Halo: releases live action that is hostile to in-game universe, kills already dying game
If only this game was a 3rd person gameplay though 🫡
If they didnt do this stupidity they did, if they launch at current state now, enforced by Edgerunners great anime (also not synchronize this both was kinda idiotic strategy), they would be on top of the game right now with all the glory.
Ubisoft already announced an Assassin's Creed Netflix series adaptation.
The game is really fun and much improved but I really hope they don’t just drop it next year. They owe us, they owe their reputation. If they wanna keep up some goodwill going into Witcher 4 etc., they need to keep doing better.
You love to see it, knew they'd turn it around, even if it was never that bad to begin with, great comeback story 👍🏾
So pleased Cyberpunk 2077 and the devs are getting the such a response after all the hard work they've put in with patches & updates
We forgive CDPR
I want more features for cyberpunk 2077
Probably those flying cars but I'm afraid it'll break the game lol
The game still has hella bugs.
Long life to E3, tired 😂 of companies choosing when they want to show their “directs”
So many clowns don't mind being scammed and lied to, it's hilarious.
Congratulations CD Projekt !!
I've played since launch on xbox one and didn't really experience anything game breaking until a few updates ago. Worst was just bad textures and bodies flopping around evrywhere
Glad I waited to play, I've sank 26 hours in over these last two weeks
