Cyberpunk 2077 – CD Projekt Just Said What? Oh Really? Plus: The Worst Take On A Next-Gen Update!

So CDPR had some words about Cyberpunk 2077 and a certain gameplay mechanic that they think could be improved. What does this mean for future updates and even the sequel? Also let’s talk about one of the worst takes I have seen about CDPR’s Witcher 3 next-gen update and ridiculous comparisons to the terrible launch of Cyberpunk 2077.

  1. Also, I feel like this might be the place to say it…. I’m not a huge gamer but I appreciate a great game. And I heard cp2077 had bugs. I waited. Two years. And on a console, and TWO years later…. Tbh yeah there are tweaks I’d like, but there hasn’t ever been a video game like this. Even with cyberpunk flaws, this game is more imaginative and exciting than most I’ve played in 15 years. Yeah, they didn’t get it right at first. You video game elitists have too much to prove to the rest of the world. Like cd project red says, they want a truly immersive first person video game experience. And if I’m honest, they gave me that. Yes I do want improvements and embellishments, but I will never be caught saying it’s their fault. We’re the consumer and we want content. They’re just working their ass off to give us content we want. And I do not see through their character as a company that they will short us on what we want. I didn’t buy the game for 2-3 years for a reason. Oops. Goofs. Well they have fixed them. And diligently dictated how it would be fixed.

    TLDR
This game is gnarly get over ur self

  2. I think people stick to one type of gun or weapon is not only due to the crafting, which I must admit I really like, but also because your character really benefits from the perks. Not really much of an incentive to go with a Legendary shotgun if your V is going around bonking people with a Legendary dildo and doing 9k damage per turkey slap due to the stack of Melee damage perks that you built into them.

Also, I know it is important for balancing reasons, but I personally hate hard level caps. Hope they do away with that and go with a soft level cap, in that getting to the upper max levels gets pretty grindy and doing all the content lands you somewhere around the 55-60 levels instead of hard cutting you off at 50.

  3. I have tried every single gun that came my way. The issue is that some of them have no feeling of difference and others are just annoying to work with. The Smart weapons seems cool, but they just don't work that great. The Tech weapons are neat, but charging them feels like it takes too long and then you get downed in 1-2 shots.

  4. I would of simplified the loot system where the only weapons you have are those unique weapons. Whether found or bought. The loot should be components for upgrading your weapons and customization as in skins, scopes, and even perks. And finally, have the ability to pick up an enemie's weapon and use the remaining ammo and then you scrap for components or sell to the night city pd at the cost of street cred.

  5. I had the exact opposite of what he was doing. The game was so open and made me want to explore it and I kept finding stuff to do. So I tried doing them and then realized that they were level scaled independently from myself and just got 1-tapped every time. So I was encouraged to explore, but I couldn't really do anything because the stuff would insta-kill me.

  6. I use the arm launcher by this point simply because I can't understand why it is so useless. I've tried everything I could think of, but it just doesn't do anything. I also can't get it to charge OR lock onto targets like it says it can.

  7. Please, for the love of all that isn't annoyingly useless, make the dodge capable of being used and make it useful. I find myself sprinting in combat more effective than the actual dodge mechanic.

  8. some of the loot doesn't even feel rewarding they should add other multiple ways to get good loot other than ncpd scanners and a few gigs, maybe make loot farmable i.e 'go here to get a gun stock', 'go here to get the magazine' maybe add specific missions for a specific type of loot, (or add a system that's more rewarding). giving me a crafting spec doesn't feel rewarding as crafting components are easy to find.
I think character movement/animations and driving mechanics STILL need to be improved going forward into the next expansion and next game. still feels janky!

  9. Everything else I have seen and heard a bout the Witcher Next Gen Upgrade is that it is the best one ever…so…not really sure about the article you found that says otherwise. I will start a new playthrough this afternoon and see for myself.

  10. I kinda like the loot system but then again I'm kind of a loot hog, The biggest thing I'm hoping for in this update is NG+. So many people want it and I feel like with the amount of time they have for Phantom Liberty they could definitely take their time, and test it to get it right. I personally wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer for 1.7 or phantom liberty just for a working NG+, I need to beat Adam Smasher 700 times for what he did to David, and tried to do to Johnny.

  11. The skill rework didn't really make it better. In the first versions, you could without a problem develop multiple fighting styles, because the skill points were there. For example, to make my first character still work, I had to scrap all investments into tech weapons, because after the rebalance he didn't have enough skill points left for that in addition to blades and power weapons.

  12. I prefer to use knives or swords in my combat when fighting because it is much easier for me to get an advantage when fighting bosses like Oda and Adam guns I rarely use unless I need to in certain situations where it's needed as for loot they should give us more ways to obtain it instead of grabbing it off dead enemies or traveling long distances to look for it

  13. for me I'd get my Iconic weapons and stick to those because they had better damage, I'd upgrade those as i needed too, I'd sell all weapons that were common or below and dismantle blue and above weapons, when i got to craft Legendary Iconic weapons all that were craft-able from the get go I'd craft new ones and upgrade the others to Legendary! I'd do Konpeki Plazza at around lvl 13 or 14 after doing NCPD alerts, Cyberpsychos & any fixer quests that were available. I'd go into Konpeki Plaza with the ability to craft the Psalm & Buzzsaw and Konpeki Plazza would be pretty easy.

  14. Wish the cyberpunk arm launcher would have had cluster-grenades, or something like what The Mandalorian had for his arm weapon(targets all marked enemies within a certain proximity). Something that would have made it feel unique.

  15. The different gangs would lend them selves really well to different strategies. For example the animals have not a lot of cyberware and are physically strong, so netrunning and close range combat is less effective against them. Maelstrom because of all their cyberware is very vulnerable to netrunning. And so on
