Cyberpunk 2077 Builds: Big Brain (OP Netrunner Hybrid) Character Guide Weapons Perks – https://fextralife.com/cyberpunk-2077-builds-big-brain-netrunner-hybrid-character-guide-weapons-perks/
In this Cyberpunk 2077 Build Guide I’ll be showing you my Big Brain Build which is a Build that has a heavy emphasis on the use of the Short Circuit Quickhack to shock the hell out of enemies. This might be one of the most broken Builds in the game, and if you like to Quickhack but don’t want your damage to suffer with guns or melee weapons then this is the Build for you.

The way the Big Brain Build works is that it takes advantage of the Legendary version of Short Circuit, which shocks enemies when you Critically Hit them with a Weapon. This means that every single Critical Hit will not only deal its own damage, but additional damage based on your Short Circuit Damage and your Critical Hit multiplier as well. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
If you can get your Critical Hit Chance to 100%, which is not overly difficult to do then you can get this extra damage on every single shot you fire. If you’re playing a Stealth Build maybe you want to use a silenced pistol, well now you don’t even have to aim for the head to kill enemies, just kneecap them and down they go with very little aiming involved. But what’s even better is you can use this with Smart Weapons and you don’t even have to aim, just point and fire once and everything dies! Shotguns, however, only count as one shot, even though there are multiple pellets.
In order to get this Legendary Quickhack you need to max out Intelligence in order to unlock the Bartmoss’ Legacy Perk which allows you to craft this, but that’s ok, because each point into Intelligence passively increases the damage of Short Circuit anyway, so it’s win /win. Just crank Intelligence from the very beginning of the game, and once you hit 20 it’s instant win time. You can also use other Quickhacks along the way if you want, though it won’t be needed once you have this.
Big Brain Tips
Until you gain the Legendary version of Short Circuit you’ll have to play more like a traditional Netrunner, using Quickhacks etc in order to help you take down enemies. This is a good time to learn what other Quickhacks do, and also learn how strong Short Circuit is, since you can one shot many enemies with it.
You will not usually need more than one bullet per enemy, even on the hardest difficulties of the game, so finding Weapons with larger clips and faster reload times helps this build a lot. It doesn’t really matter how much damage the bullet itself hits for, so look for weapons with other bonuses that can benefit this Build. LMGs for instance can hold 100 rounds at once, which has potential of nearly a million damage per clip.
Theoretically you could play a melee Build with the same idea, since the shock would also apply to melee Critical Hits. It might be easier to play this type of Build as a Street Brawler though, since the extra Health and Stamina would likely help keep you alive, but you can use whatever type of melee weapon you want. Just keep your Critical Hit Chance high for best results.
Lastly, once you’ve played this Build it will likely be hard to go back to just about any other type of Build. You can use any weapon in the game with this setup and still deal substantial damage, so I don’t advise doing so unless you want to absolutely own everything. Trust me, it’s that good!

I'm doing gun blade build atm all pistols and blades tiny bit netrunning detonate and psychosis mainly
anyone know how to get clothes similar to the thumbnail
Should be able to get the Legendary Short circuit way below 20 intelligence from random terminal save scrubbing. I haven't found any that drop legendaries at less than an 8 intelligence requirement though.
Ooo. I was liking stealthy quick hacking gameplay. And I had a bunch of attribute and perk points banked because I didn’t know what to do with them. But now I do. Going to try this out.
You want OP? Craft the Headsmen shotgun over and over until you get the stats you want + all the crit damage mods you can find, + all the perks including the dismemberment ones.. Not too mention the shotty comes with a +% chance to dismember. 4 Shells, 4 kills. and it's a lot more fun then just standing their in the green screen just chaining some magic.
I wish I knew to start with another build. I keep making new characters to try other builds but always end up hacking since berserk and sand. Can’t be acquired until later.
Tough to choose this or neural netrunner build is there any way to combine both builds playstyle to use both
Has anyone tried the "Lizzy" gun with this build? The charged spread uses 5 bullets from your mag does this count as 5 shots?
Damn. I got locked out of one of the cybernetics for assaulting one of the ripper docs some mission lol
You can actually get legendary quick hacks from access points if you are level 50 I have 3 intelligence but a full cyberdeck of legendaries.
Are you sure that crit chance from armor mods stack? When I equip multiple crit things it isn't reflected in my stats.
Do you just use short circuit or do you use the one from the militech card? Sorry I forgot the name at the moment
this build works great with body/int/cool build with annihilation or brawler.
lets you use one build to play two styles: unseen kill or disable all enemies or go in boomstick or fists blasting run and gun style. all without sacrificing damage.
trying to stick in annihilation and brawler, but perk points are tight. would have to sacrifice from the cool tree to make it happen. hmm.
Glad I found this. Been playing this a lot and I have yet to do any hacking
Smart link doesnt increase crit chance .. only chance to hit targets … i dont know how you got crit chance from that …
this build seems awesome, I really like the netrunner theme, but sitting all the time behind cover no action would get stale after a while for me, I just wanted to ask how much does this build work with melee weapons, if its truly viable option or its too big drop from guns, im playing on gamepad so I prefer melee in this game or I would have to get some smart pistol I gues.
Pro tip: You can get the legendary quickhacks without 20 Intelligence if you spend 2 points in the perk that gives you a chance to earn quickhacks for datamining devices. All you need is 10 intelligence for the majority of terminals. Save before datamining and reload if you don't receive a new quickhack. The only quirk of this approach is that reward level of a datamined terminal set to a certain level whereas the reward is random, meaning that if you receive an epic quickhack on your first datamine, reloading will only give you a different epic quickhack, rather than a random legendary. Enjoy your datamining choombas.
Thanks for the vids
many points are wasted. could spend them way better
I went with a reflex tech build, i 1 shot all enemies through everything, just ping 1 enemy and then kill everyone in the area from outiside from behind anything you choose. I was able to do 1.3Million damage with a single bullet, but i know this is not the cap, have not tried to kill the final boss with it, but all cyberpsychos were 1shot aswell.
How would you say this fairs compared to the cold blooded pistol builds?
Can anyone tell me if this works in newest patch? I see so much shit broken that I no longer know what works and what doesnt.
Only take 1 point into Mass vulnerability, as rank 2 only increases the duration. 3 mins is more than enough to finish off a whole area.
What clothes are those in thumbnail?
There is only one problem with netrunner, even "typical' netrunner is OP…with 18/20 intelligence is GG… i fell like a fucking "Harry Potter" of Night City …
Probably late to ask this, but you mention crafting yet technical remains at 4, I guess how would view your final end game attribute points distributions?
Still playing early game in Act 2. Has anyone else had issues with quickhacks costing more RAM than they're supposed to when you try to use them? Tried restarting the game, but it still does it.
This build is cool but I'd rather use Contagion as my primary killer
But even on Very Hard this game is so insanely easy that you don't need to focus on a build…
Haha literally sat at work thinking about exactly this and if it would be viable, I found some info on how to get this legendary quick hack with only 10 intelligence so you could do this to augment any other build if you don’t want to go max int. good to see it works tho, I’ll have to see if I can make something else now.
Ran up on this by accident when at lvl 43 I finally decided to craft the legendary Short Circuit. All of a sudden things were dying way faster than before, to the point where I thought I had accidentally switched to easy difficulty. Ended up downloading a trainer to reduce my damage by 50% so I could still have somewhat of a challenge….
liking the info in your videos, but man, you talk much too quickly. Slow down a bit so people can take in what you are saying.
My character in this game is a talented ex corpo netrunner and engineer, with a arsenal of smart weaponry. And dare I say what his name is?
This build is massively fun to play. It makes me want to go in guns blazing for every gig.
I wanna know where you got those pants
you can get it with an int of 12 if you go around the city center and with the datamine virtuoso perk at second level. and hack terminals with an int requirement of 9+ save before you start and reload till you get the one you want
This build is so op, every encounter was a joke on very hard.
You sound like YongYea
i'm on my third playthrough. i stumbled 75% of the way into this build over the first two. this time around i've been calling it my "New Game Plus" build. only now am i maximizing it, thanks to you!! this build really makes capturing footage of all the cutscenes easier for a guy like me lol
So am i short circuiting and then shooting? Or the other way around
Great idea! Will try it on my next character. Question: the stealth perk "Hasten the inevitable" adds 20% damage to poisoned enemies, would that boost the damage from short circuit? Also, if I go full Int + Cool, should I put 18 points in Tech or Reflexes, since a lot of perks in Technical Ability help to boost crit chance and dmg through gears? Thanks a lot!
honestly the only problem with this idea is that by the time you get legendary quickhacks legendary contagion is already so good you don't really need to fire your weapons … I don't even get off my bike to kill sidewalk mobs anymore
How do you get the legendary mox gas mask? I've only managed to get the blueprint for the uncommon, sorry if it's a dumb question xD I only got the game a few days ago; build is pretty solid for me so far 😀
I want the outfit in the thumbnail, where can I find that top and headpiece?
Geez, I used the time stamps to skip to attributes and perks and was confused how short circuit works with the build. So I watched the whole thing again and one of the first things said was how it works.
Recently pick up the game.. will this build still work ?? I know 1.3 patch nerfed netruners…
Pro-tip.
Going with Reflexes over Cool lets you focus the crit and survivability of blades, and then you can…
HACK-and-Slash.
🙂
Question: does short circuit damage apply to melee weapons as well?
Im so confused what perks to take with this outside intel
