Cyberpunk 2077 – Arasaka Endgame Part One

It’s time to continue with the multiple possible endings to Cyberpunk and today we’re concentrating on the two Arasaka outcomes. Neither of these are considered “good” endings, but there’s so much gameplay involved in them that I’m splitting them into two parts, otherwise this video would easily, even after editing, be an hour and half long.

  1. Goro is a good friend, but he is too naive, and unable to see that Arasaka are just as corrupt and foul as their counterparts. He is loyal to you but cannot breach his loyalty to Arasaka, even after they as an organization have shown they will betray you if you aren't 'important' enough. Regardless I've saved him in every play-through, even if I don't intend to side with him in the end.

  2. I am thinking I may just do all of the endings just to do them and get whatever rewards and achievements related and then just shop for hats! I used Monowire on Adam Smasher yesterday, it wrecked the mufuka! he is weak to it's charms!

  3. Comrades hammer, interesting name for a gun, I suspect you got it off a Russian. AND HOLY SHIT! I, DID NOT, SEE THAT COMING! BUT then again, when ya think about it for bit, its not much of a surprise to see the old man is still alive, not in the flesh mind you but alive. And of course he's got more then one "experimental" biochip with a engram on it.

  4. Cyberpunk 2077 is the first game for me that ticks my emotions this consistent. I just keep feeling this growing anger just watching that ending (playing it is rage levels at points).

It is amazingly well written as far as storyline goes. When on the roof top I don't want to just call my love interest, but all my friends as well. Vic, Misty, Judy, Panam, River, Mitch, all of them are friends and deserve a call before you commit.

The fact that the game makes me feel that way is overwhelming, sucky and fantastic all at once.

  5. Sorry Jingles, got no time…

Gotta go to the library to drop some books off, don't mention though… I didn't loan any! 🙂

(Yes, taking the piss on the guy who says he never has time, I am not our good old friend)

  6. Asshole Ending:

V uploads himself to the mainframe in the basement, overwriting Papa Arasaka and leaving Johnny Silverhands in your old broken body.

You then take over the Arasaka Corporation. Revive the Relic Chip tech and download yourself to young fit bodies when you feel like it.

So you can go and bang Panam, who you've had turned into your own personal JoyToy.

  7. Yeah no Jingles, Goro can suck on the business end of a howitzer as far as I'm concerned. His only motivation is getting back to that wretched hive of scum and villainy they call Arasaka.

Any other ending than what you got, he tells you to rot in hell. Regret the bullets I wasted saving his arse.

Gotta appreciate the classics: Comrade's hammer :). It's crafted fyi.

  8. On the issue of Japanese woman and counting, I can promise you 25 minutes clothes shopping is never 25 minutes and just 1 shop she needs to pop into is never just 1. Although I don’t think that’s a uniquely Japanese woman issue.

  9. Without Goro, the Devil + 'I wanna live' ending is the most haunting ending I have experienced in a video game. Instead it's Hellman, a cold, uncaring individual. You sign your entire existence over to this corporation that has only the thinnest of reasons to follow through with what they say, thus ensuring your future is uncertain. You move into that cold, sterile operation theatre surrounded by uncaring doctors, the bright light on your face as you look into the last few moments of your life and hold onto a memorandum from someone who mattered, all before it cuts to black.
    It's an incredibly haunting ending.

  10. Having Goro with you in the Devil + 'I wanna live' ending changes the tone completely for me. Goro has the ear of Saburo Arasaka and Hanako. He remembers you. He is loyal to you. You are nothing to Arasaka now, so as a favour to a loyal and valued personal bodyguard, it's not much for Saburo to issue an order to uphold their end of the bargain and get you a new body down the line. It's still uncertain and uncomfortable, but having Goro on your side changes the tone a lot. Without Goro it's Hellman, and the ending is far far more haunting and cold.

  11. This ending is like choosing to side with La Croix or the Kue-Jin in VTMB. Its stupid and no one in their right mind would choose it realistically except to find out what happens. I only did it after playing all three life paths and ended with the Rogue, Secret or Panam solution (and I only did that one with severe reservations) with a preference for the Secret ending (which for me is the canon ending). Truly hoping we get a DLC where we progress with V infiltrating Crystal Palace and some how Mr Blue Eyes saving Vs bacon. Surely there must be some regenerative medicine hidden away by Arasaka (which might also explain the longevity of the Arasaka family) that could reverse the effects of the damage done by the chip? Not surprised you had to break this one in two. It seems to go on as long as the Johnny one and both a lot longer than the Secret ending (which I found annoying as that was Vs best ending imo).

I noted that half the messages during the credits are the same as the Secret ending which I thought a little cheap by CDPR.

Didn't think much of that one shot pistol. There are far better Legendary pistols which, with the right skill buffs, can one shot a mech or a person and with bigger ammo loads. Then again if you are a L20 netrunner shooting is very rarely needed anyway. Poor Adam Smasher never stands a chance in any of my playthroughs (even the first one).

  12. turns out for either Arasaka ending or the Nomad ending, you can choose one line of dialogue with Johnny only to call the other party once he's gone
I'm not sure if there are any subsequent dialogue changes though

Takemura: loyal to Arasaka, even if it means his end
also Takemura: laughs devilishly at a fellow employee getting dismembered by a hand cannon, even though said employee might have lived had V taken the stealth approach

  14. A little side note, you can actually see and sort of hear Jackie after you talk to Saburo in Mikoshi. This depends on what you told Delamain he could do with Jackie's body just before you get shot. The conversation is a bit one sided though becuse he seems confused

  15. I'm glad you are doing multiple endings of this. I have watched every single cyberpunk video you did. I just don't have time to play it, because I have a family to take care of. I just wanted to say thank you.

  16. While C2077 is a great game and I was able to play it pretty much bug free thanks to being part of the Master Race and building my own new pc just before mining fucktards ruined the market, it does have one super annoying flaw. The fucking chip malfunctions. I cannot stand any gameplay element that messes with my sight or actions. On occasion, for a mission, sure. Like the "I got high and now I have to do this mission" moments in Farcry games. I can live with that… but all the time? Worse and worse the whole friggin game? Meh.

  17. The best ending IMO, is as female V, ask Panam for help (don't go the Arasaka way) and have completed the Judy romance, even if there is a "time-limit" imposed of your character. At least V will live free and with their lover.

  18. LOL, nobody is allowed to approach the building, but the guard is letting everybody through the gate without checking who is visiting. Is that another ploy by Yorinobu or is it more bad world building?
