  1. I mean, that's technically not Johnny anymore. According to him, what you're seeing is V and Johnny's mind merged into one. It's quite literally V's and Johnny's conscience talking back to them.

  2. what i love about the story of this game is how it all can end in a way that makes sense regardless
If you side with arasaka and are a corpo you're bringing it back full circle, once a corpo, always a corpo, trying to climb back up the corporate ladder, but not just that, you relied on the company that built the chip, you hoped they and they alone could save you, you followed takemura's suggestions, and you chose to trust hanako arasaka regardless.
You were detrimental for saburo's arasaka grand plan, although the game never really mentioned another biochip locked away that allowed an engram to jump back into a dead body to make it it's host, which is what saburo did to yorinobu if you followed the devil ending pathway, and wether you save your engram or return to earth you technically lost, because you will either die knowing all you did was for nothing, or you will be stuck locked for an unknown amount of time in a prison of souls owned by a company you strifed soo hard to fight against.

If you give your body to johnny it makes soo much sense too, you built a friendship with a dead guy living in your head, you trusted him, believed in him, regardless of the stunts and shit he's pulled, regardless of him being a terrorist you believed in what he stood for, you trusted him more than yourself to the point you surrendered control to him when you doubted you could move on your own anymore, or you decided that on your own two feet 6 months isn't just gonna cut it, so as to not waste your own body to rot you decide the best alternate scenario is to give it to johnny since alt has made it pretty clear the body is compatible for him, so ultimately the fate you tried to avoid, comes knocking on your door in a different way.

If you become a legend of the afterlife you're honoring your dead friend jackie, this was his wish, to become a legend in this city like misty put it.
To live a lavish life with juicy contracts and more money than toilet paper in your house you can use to clean yourself with.
To be recognized, to have fame glory and power, but all of this at the cost of your life who is slowly being withered away, but this doesn't change the fact it was what jackie told you in the limo "no V you..you are going to be filthy rich", he didn't meant you will be rich from the biochip heist cash, he knew as he was dying that V wasn't gonna have a happily ever after, he meant that as in the long distant future the sun ending, this ending makes sense if you're a street kid.

If you leave with panam and the aldecaldos this ending makes alot more sense as a nomad, you started out from the badlands as a member of the bakkers family, but you got kicked out, you tried a new beggining meet jackie, go through the same prologue shit, but eventually you meet panam, a girl in the same circunstances as you "almoust", in bad terms with her family the aldecaldos and she is trying to fit in night city but instead gets fucked by a raffen shiv, loses her merch and the car thanks to rogue's plan to pair them up.
Enter V and you help her, she begins to trust you, she unveils her cards, she wants to help u, her family want to help you, you aided her and them in soo many ways, you're one step away from being formally introduced into this new nomad clan, they can help.
If you raid arasaka with the aldecaldos you don't get fame or fortune, you don't get to be in the good graces of a mega corp, instead you get to return to your roots, with a fun loving family of people who you can fall back onto, and leave this city that has brought alot of pain and suffering to you.
You're leaving it all behind to start anew with the remaining time you got left.

I'm still holding out that the relic dlc adds more storyline content to the game, one of the devs mentioned in video that the team's canonical ending shouldnt be revealed just yet, hinting at a possible new ending or endings for this amazing game.

  3. The level of maturity Johnny goes through, man.. They really did him and V wrong. They both should've got better endings. The character development of Johnny is on an another level, from a person who cared less about his friends.. Didn't care about anyone else except him
He changed on such a big level! He doesn't even care if he were to be shredded by Arasaka or taken with Alt. All he wanted was V to get his life back and live on happily

  4. Johnny accepted to and told V that he will give his life for V, if he wanted he could take his body anytime. You have to be total ashole to tell him this. And what Arasaka does, Johnny is a a saint. He is maybe hard to stand, but his ideas are right ones.
