Cyberpunk 2077 going the first-person perspective only shocked a lot of fans and initially, CDPR defended this decision saying it ties in with the gameplay formula, and in most cases, the first-person perspective is used for storytelling, dialogue, and much more but people are still debating that adding third-person perspective, it would benefit the game as more people get immersed that way into the game.

  1. I was glad I was forced into FPP for emersion’s sake bc it made some parts particularly impactful and if I wasn’t forced into FPP I wouldn’t have played it in first person at all. But I completely agree that it wasn’t utilised to its fullest potential

  2. Well said, they should've gone for the max 1st person perspective instead of underdevelop this just like their many other key selling points they underdeveloped in this game and they should've kept the 3th person cut scenes what would've helped sell very much their idea of that 1st person perspective even to 3th person fans what would've ultimately result into less complaints. So it's too bad cdpr even dropped the ball on going for the max in 1st person perspective by dropping the ball on the small details that truly sell 1st person perspective. I guess we going to have to wait and see in the next 6 months what is going to happen as I still have not played this game cause it's still not where I thought they would take this game. Going to have to NMS wait it out 6 months up to a year I guess. Will see.

  3. I want the game fixed and more content. Like more armor . Transmog actually weapon customization . Car customization. More romance fix the cops. And then add more shit. If they dont fix this game me and probs hundreds of thousands if not millions will be done with cdpr

  4. OF COURSE it matters! 3P is by far the better view for a role playing game period. I want TO SEE my char, my clothes etc. Also CDPR had ONLY 3P before. I didn't get it why CP was f*** FP.

  5. I didn’t customize my V because the game was first person only, but also because I already like the canon appearance of V, and the custom character creation is ugly, so I definitely would’ve liked to see third person cutscenes. I think character creation should’ve been cut because V is a character like the rest of the cast. Changing his appearance isn’t very immersive to me.

  6. Literally got game open right now. First person makes me nauseous, and the frame rate makes it worse

And yeah I dislike 1st person as a matter of principle, it's really really bad

  7. In a game with so much cool customization options, not being able to see your character is such a waste. I hate that in Borderlands too, but there at least your friends can see your character.

  8. They need to ad a third person. If they want to get people to buy the game in the future that will do the trick. FPS games are so lazy.. dying light is the only good one

  9. Eating and drinking animations looks very minor thing and I would guess that eating and drinking would get old very quick. It's not a drinking and eating simulator. Other thing, those animations already available in the game as far as I remember. I could swear that on my play through of Cyberpunk I ate at least once and drank probably five or six times. The running, jumping and swimming animations or I might say the lack of it, that is where I saw the problems in this game. You see those ugly moving animation all the time when you look at your own shadow. Third person view option or cutscenes would be nice, but devs should fix the moving animations first.
