  1. Cyberpunk was my first CDPR purchase based off my friends recommendation from The Witcher 3.

Doesn't matter how good they get this game. doesn't matter what they put out in the future… i keep the game on my console as a permanent reminder i will not buy another product of theirs.

  2. this comment is not about the video, it's about the microphone.. do you live behind a club or something? every movement you make seems to give the "bump the mic" sound effect, lol.

  3. I don’t really get the V comment. I found V so annoying, but then again I found nearly everything about this game to be annoying and boring af so maybe I’m missing something

  4. The awful technical performance aside, Cyberpunk is really a perfect an example of outrage culture. It scored well with pretty much every major review outlet, and even most reputable youtube reviewers liked the game and story overall.
But disingenuous outrage generates clicks, so in addition to how buggy it was, everyone suddenly thought it was cool to act like cyberpunk was morally obligated to revolutionize gaming and it didn't so it's garbage.

And now the outrage hot takes have moved on and people are finding…a good game lmao. The reality is that most people made a hobby of holding cyberpunk to some hilariously insane standard that 99% of games period don't meet.

  5. I have no doubt there is a good game buried underneath all the valid drama. That said… I'll wait for them to finish patching it. Add content. And release the complete, ultimate, directors cut, goty edition. Or w/e they call it.

  6. Hell…I got the PS4 brand new disc version from Target for $10…I think I might have to give it a try, especially because of the free upgrade if I ever can get a PS5 and a new tv. Thank you for the video!

  7. The release of this game was a complete shitstorm, it came out a year too early, and it should have never come out on last gen, the hardware just cant handle it… CDPR fked up big time, it ruined their rep and lost them the trust of their fans, and they should not get a pass for that.

With that being said, i took my time and waited, installed it for the first time a month ago and have been playing it ever since! Ive finished it 4 times in a row now, and enjoyed it very much! Underneath all the drama and the memes there is a real gem worth experiencing. All the things i loved about the Witcher can be found here, in its essence it is very much a CDPR game, and i hope the DLCs will be of the same quality as the likes of Blood & Wine and Hearts of Stone.

PS: I will still never forgive them for not making Witcher 4 instead! Now i have to wait another 5 years god damnit! xd

  8. I’m glad cdpr has improved the game greatly, and glad people are enjoying it now. But i feel like my, and many others, issues with the game are mostly that what this game was advertised as and what it ended up being are 2 completely different games. I think it’s fair to say anyone who followed this game expected a deep rpg with a lot of different decisions and paths the would give the game high replayability. What we got was an action game with very bare bones rpg mechanics and a protagonist where the only thing you can really do to make them different is create how they look. The game i bought wasn’t the game i was advertised and that’s what kills it. I could have looked past the bugs and glitches if we got the game we expected. New Vegas is widely considered one of the best rpgs in the last decade or so, and that game is notorious for its bugs and glitches. But people are able to see past it because it still delivered on what consumers expected in terms of content, and quality of content. I just wish I got to play the game i was told that i was going to be getting.

  9. My fear is that the crimes of the past will be forgotten and now that CDPR can put out a broken promise of a game and still come out financially on top that this is going to be par for the course from now on.

  10. I know a lot of people got massive shit for saying the game was pretty good before launch, but I also remember most of them mentioned with varying degrees of emphasis that the consle version was not shown to anyone and weird embargo stuff to be wary of.

  11. It wasn't even the bugs or performance that killed the game for me, it was the lack of variety in actual gameplay. I remember the first gameplay trailer, the narrator kept going "since this is an rpg" without showing actual RPG…anything. That gave me red flags all over.

I was hoping it would be an RPG/immersive sim sort of game, but sadly, it just isn't. It's hardly an rpg

  12. SPOILERS BELOW

I loved the world and characters in this game so much. I played on series X day one, and while the game was buggy in some areas it wasn't as bad as on the old gen consoles. I'm looking forward to this game getting finished so I can actually talk about the story and characters without getting blasted by comments telling me to stop defending the game. The game was a technical disaster and I won't defend that aspect of it at all, but I can admit that the writing was fantastic and the world was compelling. Really hope CDPR will release the first DLC for free as an apology for how much of a shitshow it was at launch. However, as much as I loved the story and world, a big hang up for me is the ending. It's such a downer, especially since V is such a compelling main character to play as. The best ending for V is basically dying of technocancer in 6 months. I didn't expect a happy ending or anything, especially in a world as dark as Night City. But it's a huge gut punch knowing that no matter what you do in the game you still get screwed over pretty hard. I was already pretty messed up on the idea of V's personality being copied in digital form as a way to save her, but even that goes out the window in the last 10 minutes of the game. I really hope that the DLC will affect the ending in some way since it's pretty hard to get back into the game knowing that all your effort is for nothing. As a sidenote, I really hope they rework some of the skill trees and other RPG mechanics since this was a bit of a letdown for me personally. Build crafting felt pretty weak and the Destiny style weapon power level stuff just didn't feel great to me.

  13. This whole scenario is good because its great to see a company turn it around much like No Man's Sky. That being said, is this going to a trend or is it a trend? As in, Game Companies lie to their audience and rush unfinished products out the door only to "fix" the game and rebuild consumer trust later?

  14. Did they play test this game or are we play testing this game? It took a modder to fix the unrealistic police. Don’t forget, don’t easily forgive. It’s wrong and it shouldn’t be encouraged or else it becomes the new normal. It’s evil to subvert one’s expectations with misleading advertising , to then exploits those exceptions for press, and then maybe making a game that gets too much praise when it shouldn’t. It’s an illusion spell.

  15. I played at launch on a Nvidia 3080 and experienced minimal technical issues. I thought that it was a very good game that was still disappointing because I was expecting world building and storytelling on par with the Witcher 3. Is it miles better than the latest Far Cry or Assassin's Creed? Sure. Is it what I wanted from CDPR? No. And bug fixes aren't going to fix my issues with the game.

  16. I didn't even realize you get a free upgrade with the PS4 version. I bought it on the 10 dollar sale for my PS5. Haven't played it yet, been stuck on God of war since I just got my PS5 last week. Excited to jump in.

  17. You know when it's a great time to buy the game? When it's finished. Both from a technical and content standpoint. Giving CDPR $10 now or whatever just reinforces the notion that they can release a shitty product that might eventually be excellent after three years. If so, they can wait all three of those years before they get my money, thank you.
