Decided to give Cyberpunk 2077 another try with the just released DLSS 3 Frame Generation Update on my Asus Strix RTX 4090 GPU. I test 4K, 8K, and 1440P with different DLSS settings and with it completely off, although it a great technology I do notice a reduction in picture quality when using it.

But all in all, a cool echnology that will probably be super helpful when the Nvidia Overdrive feature is released for this title later this year.

My full rig specs are below:
I9 13900KF @ 5.7 GHZ All-Core OC
MSI Z690 Unify Motherboard
Asus Strix RTX 4090 200 MHZ Core OC, 1185 MHZ Memory OC with Latest Nvidia Drivers (528.24)
32 GB G.Skill Z5 DDR5 PC6400 RAM
Corsair H170i Elite LCD AIO W/ 420 mm radiator.
2 WD SN850X Raid 0 Config Windows 11.
Seasonic 1300 Watt Platinum Rated PSU W/ Dedicated 16 Pin pin PCI-E Cable.
Corsair Obsidian 1000D Super Tower Case.
Acer Predator 32 Inch 4K 144 Hertz Display.

  2. Upscaling is a cool technology. I don’t have a problem with AMD and Nvidia developing their FSR and DLSS technologies. What I do have a problem with these upscaling techniques is when they become the main selling point of the GPUs. We should let native resolutions be the standard and let upscaling techniques be an option. If I pay $1600 for a GPU, I expect real performance from it. Not fake frames. It just seems as though upscaling is getting all of the attention, which I don’t like.
