  2. Project Managers / Bosses : Devs! we got massive performance issues on the lowest specs machine. I need you to solve them now without lowering too much graphics details before I go into the management meeting to report on progress.

Devs : …. ok if you insist *shrugs

*despawn NPC and Vehicles immediately behind players

Project Managers / Bosses : I dont know what you did, but the game feels and look the same and the performance has improved! Awesome, I knew I can count on you magical guys! Can't wait to share the good news to the CEO that we are on track!

  3. This LP is my only experience of the game, outside of watching some lore videos from Madqueen Show.
I can remember the first ad for this game. NCPD track down and capture a cyberpsycho.
Rumors were circulating that the NCPD was made up of reformed cyberpsychos, and that's how they got new recruits.
Everyone was talking about how dangerous it would be for the player to get too many implants, because it would eventually lead to cyberpsychosis.
That is definitely not what I'm seeing here!
Bit of a difference between how the game was introduced, and what we actually have now.

  4. I installed an amazing reshade but it just didn't help me get over all the other problems. I uninstalled midway. But I'm glad Gopher is enjoying himself lol he's genuinely having a blast.

  5. Part of me was hoping he was gonna hit that "wait" prompt, but I knew no way Gopher was gonna artificially pass time when there's stuff to be done in the mean time lol

  6. "Scop" is an acronym in-context, referring to "Single-Celled Organic Protein". All Foods (the company responsible for the factory Maelstrom took over) is notorious for reconstituting more complex forms of carbs and proteins from lab-grown slabs you can basically treat and flavor however you like. Pretty much every single food item in Night City is some form of scop, with only the ultra-wealthy being able to afford actual meat, fruit and veggies.

As a result, insults like "scopmuncher" and "scopshitter"' are fairly commonplace. The curbside vendors and aquaculture salespersons you'll catch here and there are pretty much alongside franchises like Joe's Diner, in that they use scop in hybrid recipies with a few organic ingredients.

If you only ever eat scop, you're dirt-poor. If you hang around franchise outlets or eat curbside, you're a little better off, on average. If you're like Takemura and have vivid memories of eating Kobe beef and onigiri, you're part of the 1%.
