In case you guys were wondering where I been, well one I been enjoying my recently acquired 2015 Subaru WRX, and also doing a lot of self maintenance on it including spark plugs, which I had done today. But the big news, or change is I had a buyer who was willing to purchase my RTX 4090 Strix for $1800 cash, I took his offer as I felt it would be much better than selling on Ebay when the 5090 gets announce, and I’m sure by then the value of a lot of 40 Series GPU’s would tank. So I purchased an Asus Strix RTX 4080 Super, which looks and feels 100% identical (same cooler) to my 4090, and I have a 3 month return policy on this GPU, so I will hold onto it until one, either the 5090 is released in November (if it happens) or two I will wait until the return period is nearing the end and just return it and hopefully by then it would be a closer time to the release of the 5090. So that’s the story, and I think overall it is a good plan, I will still have a decent performance, probably roughly 15-20% reduction in FPS in some games, but it certainly will see keep me happy until the 50 series comes out.

Sold your 4090 in preparation for the 5090? That's not a bad idea. However, from the looks of it, CES 2025 seems likely for the RTX 50 Series announcement. Which will be in January 2025. Then, around a month after that, late February or so, the 5090 will be released. Great video, as always, though. 👍
yeah, i'm going 90 card this time. i need that extra vram. i need the 5090 asap
It's actually kind of a smart decision 😀
BUT…5090 is likely to release in 2025
In my case I don't think I need it, because I game mostly in 1080p, as anyone playing 4k you would benefit from 5090
You know what's hilarious? You have less stutter with 4080 Super than with 4090 in same exact map area lol
I had RTX 4080 Aorus Master, man that card was amazing, it had zero coil noise. My 4090 has a little bit of coil whine, but Aorus Master 4080 had ZERO. Even Der8auer had same experience.
I have a benchmark of that card on my channel if you use magnifying glass just type in "4080"
I also had it undervolted and it ran same frequencies under 200 watts. It was like 189 watts with 100% usage lol
It played so well in Insurgency, way more consistent than 4090.
Maybe in parity of your demonstration here???
Hmmmmmmm, what is that magic in 4080
Looks prety smooth also 👌 but yeah, 5090 Will be a beast card, but also power hungry, so be prepared.
Just tried Studio Driver 555.85 driver, as 561.09 studio driver was causing stutters.
Using 7950x3D that I did a test with Studio Driver 555.85 is still a better driver, as it removed almost all of the stutters again. Then I tested 560.81 Studio Driver and found it was even better in terms of 0.1% and frame to frame. So : 560.81 > 555.85 > Any other Studio Driver for 7950x3D, 9950X. 555.85 Studio Driver was phenomenal with i9-13900k
Studio Driver 560.81 was actually really-really good with 9950X, so is 7950x3D, and looks like 560.94 is worse with 7950x3D for certain.
560.81 Studio Driver is the best 7950x3D and 9950X driver as of now.
damn i have yet to build my 4090 pc just got the mobo left :D! i think imma get 5090 late 2025 when all the madness settles down in terms of availability and stuff
Noooo bro whyyy
Never automatically assume that the new card will be OK and stable at least wait couple of months after it's released
At least I suggest you do so great video !
