  1. Another great video, and you always make me at least chuckle a few times. Watching my pennies closely right now, so nothing I am backing in this video. Was going to back the Button Shy campaign, but after shipping and exchange to CAD, I just couldn't justify it at the moment. Really want to try a few of their games though. What i am looking forward to is whatever the heck Roxley is scheming about, with their Dice Throne "Christmas in July" event tomorrow (July 5). So far, I am a huge fan of their work, from the fact they are a Canadian company (yay!) to the incredible production quality of the games I own from them. Thanks as always, Chris!

  2. I was waiting for the Cyberpunk section of countdown and you got right to it. Great job not going crazy with the $1 club comments. Anyone interested in the game has scrolled the comments already so probably not worth focusing on it aside from one or two jokes as you did here. I have been in the $1 club a while now and other channels tell you to keep the $1 pledge to wait and see what shipping will be so I appreciate the thoughts around why not to do that.

  3. Thanks Chris! Informative as always, money is tight right now, so keeping up to date about all the games out there is very helpful. Thanks again, fellow Canadian. (Happy Independence Day My American Friends!)

  4. Thank you for helping me save my money once you point out what the true cost for theses crowdfunding games are in CAD. 😄 I will hold onto my money for now for that amazing game to come out next.

  5. I agree: definitely no Pick For Me this week. I might pick up a retail copy of Helsinki in 2 years when it's $30 with free shipping.
Between the video game and the board game, it really feels like Cyberpunk is a cursed IP at this point. That said, remember to gimme a shout if that key party ever happens. 😆

  6. The bird game…. the theme of the birds fighting are true.
    They are crazy up north.
    People have been badly hurt.
If you ever wish to visit sweden, let me know. Got i spare bedroom you could use😃 Live in south of sweden so no dangerous birds. 🥳

  7. Thanks!! i never miss these videos. I´ve seen your video about The witcher old world, in the end did you back it? I didn´t because I missed that campaign but I´m preordering it and I´m wondering what are your thought on it.
    Thanks and excellent content

  8. Man, I really want the Epic Encounters Bardsung pledge, but it's hard to justify a gameplay expansion with 1/3 the content at $130+SH 😒
Also, so glad to see you at 6.75k subs. You'll be at 10k before you know it!

  9. Shipping is a killer on all of them for me – no worries being selective now – The Final Skyrise Deluxe will look amazing – all unique sculpts and shipping was a great price for me . as to YT – even someone like Dice Tower needs endless content to get revenue . Even a click baIt title won't help "You won't believe what I backed this month my my kids college funds " – yet some make up fake video garners ( two pixels from gamers ) millions of views – I don't begrudge them .
Catchphrase "Board games with a Smile " cheesy but true
Anyway like your attitude to life "when 3 things go wrong in the day ; the comedy really starts "
I like to play the game with my young son – on a road trip – empty light is flashing – see how many petrol stations we can pass – I must of trickled into the petrol station with a couple 200mls left

  10. Me: You're right, I should back fewer campaigns at the $1 mark.

Consequence: backing more at the full pledge level

Whoops. Time to clean out my spare closet to make room for all these additional board games, lol (and I am backing Clash of Galliformes, for the theme. When I prune my board game collection, I'm sending them straight to you.)

  11. the action selection system is just like in lords of hellas, the board is like the godfather, the units are like their other games. I am not sure where the other mechanics are borrowed from. 😛 Also I agree regarding the 1 dollar pledge. It makes 0 sense and just gives them free money. Worst case they could strike back and send out targeted updates towards the 1 pledges.

  12. One question please Chris: is "Double layer of collection sort of stuff" rated on your Game Mechanics rating video?
I am guessing that it is much higher on the list so we have not seen it yet?

  13. So not a fan of Bretwalda? I'm still on the fence myself. About a day left. Played several times on TTS and it was REALLY fun, but some tweaks and balances need to be made.

  14. Congratulations on a cool 50 coming up! You're so valuable, thank you for all of that work. I hope you can find ways of taking less time doing it :). Sometimes you hardly get a sentence out without an edit/cut and I bet you could do okay with less!
