2077 released in a horrible state, but CDPR did fix the game and I respect them for that. I pray and hope they learn their lesson and make Orion even better. Witcher 4 on the horizon. ❤
Its BS that they never added Crystal palace into the game even though its talked about all the time, In all honesty while the game was great I fee like what we got in the end was a great building block for more content but oh well. Its kind of sad no original IP is being worked on just more of the same now in UE5
“Broader audience”
Already checked out.
Was heartbroken with 2077's disastrous release after looking forward to it for so long. Now it's sad to hear they've "finished" working on it after it's finally fixed.
Not only the investors don't understand communities, they also don't understand the reputation long term impact on a company and of course… Being long term logic one can't expect investors to understand that
This company is going all in on ESG and winning menstruation awards, i have 0 confidence anything they do in the future will be worth my time, Sad.
So the Witcher will have a sequel trilogy. We all know how that played out the first time.
I hope CDPR will release a PS5 Pro patch for the witcher 3
The WItcher as a franchise never really clicked for me, so it's many many years before something new from them that will interest me. (I've played all of the Witcher games, but always fell off them)
I'm still not feeling passionate about Cyberpunk 2077 because it's not the RPG experience we were initially promised. It's still a good game though. I am also not giving CDPR any benefit of the doubt or forgiveness until they manage their next game properly, actually release that "when it's ready", and prove that they are more loyal to the players than the shareholders, and that they learn from their mistakes.
Some good news! Thanks for covering the Investor call! CDPR supported Cyberpunk 2077 well enough after launch. Sure, those "missing" features won't come out, but at least they gave us metro system and some small vehicle recolouring if nothing else. They can put 3rd person, Crystal Palace quests, dual wielding weapons, new game+, better, visible cyberware etc. in the next game.
Also CDPR released Redkit for free and they're keeping it free is a big win for everyone. Hope to see some fun mods for Witcher 3 soon. I think the next witcher game could come out in late 2026 or early 2027, since they're working on it since 2022. I know, at that time they were at pre-production. Still it's possible that they can work faster on Unreal 5 vs Red Engine, especially with Epic's software engineer support. They just have to make sure to release it when it's 100% ready and with as few bugs as possible. CDPR "saved" Cyberpunk with that large 120+ million dollar investment on bug and stability fixes, but it'd be much better for them and every gamer if that money went to the real development and not bug fixing.
The investors also need to chill out and let them work. We don't need another rough launch for the 4th Witcher just to sell it on last-gen consoles, right? If it takes that much time, maybe they should develop it for the next-gen only (PS6 and NextBox instead of the current console gen) and make PS5/Xbox Series X versions after the main game is finished.
I hope they will release a redkit for Cyberpunk too
I guess no multiplayer CP2077 after all eh?
Not sure if you studied journalism or had experience in it but your gaming news reports around Cyberpunk and anything CDPR has always been objective, calm, cool, rational and (my personal favorite) non-speculative.
I've been following your channel since patch 1.3 and you've always only reported the facts of the matter and been quick to declare what information is absent.
Please continue keeping your good standard for gaming journalism. Your channel is well on its way to 1m+ subs if you keep your quality going like this.
Cyberpunk 2077 needs infinitely replayable NG+ and mods on console badly.
Thanks for the deets LKM! You're my No1 stop shop for CDPR news. Level headed, clear, no fluff, and the most important, sincere passion.
400 is too many, I expect that CDPR Layoff announcement in 2-3 yrs
One scenario I can see happening is that when Nvidia officially debuts RTX 50, DLSS 4.0 will be shown and Cyberpunk used as a showcase for them. That could put some buzz back into Cyberpunk and get some more sales.
Where has this narrative come from that "all the older devs have left CDPR" when that simply isn't the case? If you look at the credits for Cyberpunk and the Witcher 3, hell even the Witcher 2 then you'll find most of them are still there, even at the director and lead level, do people just enjoy remaining ignorant or something? Genuinely curious because I see people bring it up often
Give me Cyberpunk 2. Don't care at all about all of this Witcher nonsense.
Gta6?
Man is just me that thinks Rockstar games are for
low IQ lowest common denominator kind of player?
I still remember the moment I`ve seen first W3 trailer "She`s returned, Geralt." And I already know that my beloved Zirael is BACK. I yelled with joy. I`m so ready to do the same when first teaser of W4 appears. "After all these years."
