  1. How are they gonna say Covid effected them working on the game when in their confidence call they said it didn't because people were working from home. They're definitely Bs'ing some of that

  2. Eh they knew what they were doing and intentionally tried to hide shit and lie to consumers. They are typical AAA corporate scumbags, feel bad for the devs and team that went through crunch and had their vision fucked with by the heads.

  3. My thoughts were…U messed up just say it, and leave it at that 🤦🏾‍♂️ Don't blame Old Gens or PC, because the game crashed and glitched on every platform then Keef says there's missing content….TRASH!!!smh(making excuses) If the work load was overwhelming hire extra help that's it

  4. the most stressed i got when this game broke the saving function on PC so i was playing for 7 hours trying to not die so all my progress wouldnt be wiped. finally got it to override after the point of no return. the bugs really messed with my enjoyment at times but overall i put 118 hours into it 100%ing the game so that should speak for itself. can't comment on the last gen console version; on pc i had a good time.

  5. So are newer consoles just given to developers and studios before they're even announced? Cause yeah I can't believe they didn't get any bug on base ps4/pro or xbox. Probably pimped those mfs at the playtests before the ps5 n stuff were avaliable

  6. IMO, his comment on QA and not finding the issues is somewhat plausible ONLY if they had a brand-spanking new console (fresh out of the box) or a console that hasnt been through the general life-cycle expected from a console; i.e, dust accumulation, constant install + uninstall, taking screenshots or videoclips and then deleting them, etc etc etc; since that would definitely cause some wear and tear on the HDD (fragmentation) which definitely leads to streaming issues. Since we dont know if the consoles have any defragmentation cycles baked into it's os, or how the data is even stored on the HDD in consoles, I would say that its quite plausible.

  7. Long ass development cycle, capped off with a new console generation.

A game primarily designed for PC ported to systems that it has no business running on (we've been here MANY TIMES)

CDPR was in a bad position. The game had numerous delays. And they were running out of good community faith. But the truth is that the should have kept pushing it back. and they should have been honest with themselves… and their customers… and just say "we are canceling the ps4 and xbox one versions" and only dev it for ps5 and series x and PC

yes, that decision would have caused a different shit storm of angry fans who feel they are owed the game on ps4 since it was in dev well before the Ps5 was even announced. It's a lose lose situation… that is further harmed by HYPE and crazy internet negativity.

Fallout 76 had a DISASTROUS LAUNCH. And people dragged the studio and meme'd the hell out of it. But the reaction to the Cyberpunk IP just feels… disappointing and mean spirited. No i wont defend a company's bad decisions.. but damn it's a bummer. A lot of people wanted this game to do well. And i think with the right support it can…. but the damage is very well done.

Anyone out there clowning on Cyberpunk RIGHT NOW…. just remember.. dont hold your breath for the Witcher 4 ANY TIME SOON. They are in bad shape.

  8. Am I the only one who’s like the testament to your companies strengths shouldn’t be fixing games after release? Why not just release that quality right from the get go you know release the game when it’s Uhm how do I put it when it’s ready 👀

  9. Kinda reminds me of what happened with bungie and destiny 1. They said on record keeping up with old gen (PS3 and Xbox) held them back significantly and was a nightmare for them. Eventually when they left it behind, they were able to dedicate more resources and make the game much higher quality.

Transitional periods into next gen I imagine are a developmental nightmare for developers. But it is what it is.

  10. Hopefully the next CDPR game launches in better shape because even going back to the Witcher 1, CDPR has been releasing games that have had pretty bad performance issues at launch however, they do have a great track record of improving their games over time so I have no doubt that most of the issues will get ironed out and by all accounts the game itself is fantastic.

  11. Around 15 hours into it on ps5 and had 3 crashes which wasn't great but definitely not horrendous, aside from police ai pretty happy with the game in general, just going to.keep taking it slow until patches come out

  12. IG’s fine I guess, but the apology didn’t really address any of the review stuff they did, the content that was promised and cut, and they denied the fact that they knew the game was unplayable on current gen. Because you can’t play the game for half an hour without a crash. Idk, CDPR really soured me.
