  1. Like 80% of that initial overview of their goals was just corpo-speak. We can only hope it comes to fruition and they learn from their failings before we praise them – hopeful caution really.

  2. I’d rather they work on more Cyberpunk games. We don’t get to many games in the cyberpunk genre. Now there making like 50 damn Witcher games. I’m a little tired of the fantasy setting right now. And since they screwed up Cyberpunk I want to see them have another go at it and make it awesome. But I guess we have to have 100 more Witcher games first. 😒

Well I guess we will all be dead or at least 100 years old when Cyberpunk 2 gets released.

  3. "6-year publishing cycle." I read that as per game. 18 for the trilogy. Cycle doesn't mean once. So not 6 years for all three or even two. This whole investor document is a 20+ year plan.

  4. Improve dev cycles and dev pressure by adding more games to deliver in shorter time.

Guess they will be hiring an army …
Only says "60+" people working in the slides … could be "58 QA testers, 1 PL, 1 dev " 😀

  5. @yongyea they still need to fix the game breaking bugs in the current cyberpunk game. I’m stuck
With the choice of restarting after 35hrs purely because I can’t progress . I need to make a phone call to start or finish missions which I can’t because the bug prevents to the person I’m calling to
Answer the phone . Rings out

  6. Man I just want them to add some of the stuff they promised in the cyberpunk we have now. I'm excited but I feel like they need to fully flesh out cyberpunk instead of creating a sequal straight away.

  7. The gaming community is ruthless. In my opinion, CDPR is still the most consumer friendly major publisher out there yet get dragged through the mud like they were EA. They of course manipulated the community with their buggy 2077 release and of course selling the 2077 as a working game to the last gen original release. But they have corrected their mistakes and made an apology on top of making 2077 into what a lot of people consider a great game. They are even addressing their internal PR issues that came to light after 2077 was launched. Idk, I do believe they deserve some hesitant trust at least.

  8. With EPIC handling engine development, they only need to create, and EPIC can create most of the underlying things like world maps, animations, and other assets. I am sure they already have CP2077 world in UE5, and Witcher world is quite easy in UE5, so gameplay and stories should be there main focus. Why I am so confident? Did you experience the Matrix demo? Yeah it can be done. It all depends on the date of Polaris, it could be 6 years + 6 making 12 years, or even more.

  9. Red flags all over. The plural in "projects", not single focus. A random witcher game clearly to cover the cb2077 disaster costs and another attempt at cyberpunk before they even fixed the first game. Smells like history repeating itself.

  10. While this update is encouraging, the fact that they still don't have that W3 next gen update out makes me concerned as to whether or not they can handle all of this multiple AAA dev project stuff. I suspect W4 will be like tail end of the gen, like 2026 or 2027. CP2 will probably be 2030.

  11. Im happy and excited they are expanding the teams, adding new studios and splitting the work, since it is well known for a while now that throwing "more people" at the same project does – at some point – not necessarily yield a better quality game in the end. But also if you have multipe projects and your team is too small and split between them its hard to get anything done without risking to neglect the other project. It also sounds good that they are trying to improve the experience and conditions within the teams and surrounding development, lets hope they are doing it right and those effort bear fruit! And I like that they are willing to outsource some smaller projects to select studios.

That being said, I am HIGHLY sceptical on the prediction/promise/plan of bringing out a new Witcher game within that trilogy within 3 years after release of the first one (or all 3 within 6 years after the first one released). Even with a big team and split development and layered cycles, this is going to involve a lot of crunch, pressure, potential for errors, potential for delays and problems in quality. I hope they will be re-thinking these plans and not overestimating the speed that new people and a new (more managable) engine brings with it. While the development can be a lot smoother with something like UE5, its easy to overestimate this, so PLEASE just be conservative with planning CDPR. Otherwise you just show that you have learned nothing.

  12. It’s pathetic to me how quickly people are willing to overlook what happened with the Cyberpunk launch, just because they’ve finally gotten the game to something resembling the state it should have launched in two years ago.

It’s like “you fucked me over once before, but I’ll bend over for you again.” In my mind they STOLE from everyone who bought the game at launch with how shady they were being about controlling the prerelease info. They knew the game was shit but they wanted that preorder $, so they put it out anyways.

I will never support anything this studio does, they do not deserve to experience a comeback.
