  1. Would be nice if they make games run good and stable on raster, getting out technologies that the upper 1% is struggling to run is a waste of resources in my opinion.

  2. I tried the mode with my 3070 in 1080p with and without dlss but i think it might be bugged. It looks like its a yt vid with a really low bitrate. All tested on the newest drivers. I hope they can patch that problem out

  3. I think I may have underestimated just how much improvement Nvidia got to their RT cores this generation. Seems like when MOST of the demand of the scene is from RT, you really see the difference? So I think a 4090 is something like 50% faster than a 3090Ti? But with RT overdrive at 4K, it seems like it's doing about DOUBLE the 3090Ti, meaning the new RT cores are doing the work significantly faster..?

  4. im confused i though my 13900ks and 4090 would perform worse and yet i get like 80 fps at 4k with path tracing and all max with quality dlss and without dlss i get 40+ fps its pretty good with frame gen ofc

  5. You should learn how to edit the metrics display from MSI afterburner. You can have separate labels for the frame rate, average and 1% lows. You can also have wattage's for CPU and GPU total power if you use Hwinfo with it.

To me this ray tracing right now is too early for the GPU's of today. I don't ever turn it on to play a game as I know it will drop my frame rate below 60.

  6. I sure hope you didn't pick the wrong GPU if you want to use Path Tracing. Thankfully we had all these "don't pick the wrong GPU" videos from Daniel Owen… oh wait they recommended the wrong GPU for PT every single time. Maybe there is no "right" or "wrong" for GPUs after all?

  7. The answer is no and not even the 4090 can handle the ridiculous demands to run this at minimum 60FPS with the new ray tracing Overdrive mode. Upscaled 1080P does not count much less the addition of fake frames.

We're a solid 2 GPU generations away from bein able to run this game at native 4K resolution with all the bells and whistles turned up to the max.

  8. I tested it on my 3060 RTX and it still worked. FPS weren't "good",.but it was playable. Only the DLSS Frame Generation was greyed out. Its interesting to look at, some weird errors (seemingly low quality Textures etc.), but overall ok.

  9. I am down to playing this at 30 fps, it's a bit rough going down that low but you get used to. Just cool to get full path tracing tbh. I didn't find RT to be worth the dip in performance but path tracing just adds another layer to the graphics
