BEYOND! On this week’s episode of IGN’s weekly PlayStation show, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Simon Cardy, Zach Ryan, and special guest StreetGrind to talk about all the latest PlayStation news…except for the new PlayStation Plus lineup, of course. (We’ll catch your news on time, one day, Sony!)

Instead, the cast jumps into the confirmation that PS3, PS Vita, and PSP PSN stores will be closing down in the coming months, Ratchet and Clank’s PS5 patch and Sony’s rollout of PS4 to PS5 upgrade patches, and more. But our centerpiece discussion is around all the Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red news of the week. From Cyberpunk’s new, massive 1.2 patch to CDPR’s promise to market games on shorter timelines in the future and much more, we discuss how the company plans to move forward after the troubled launch of 2077 and its continued absence from the PSN store. (Knowing our luck, we expected Cyberpunk to become available again on PS4 in between when we recorded and when this episode posted.)

  1. I personally had all positive experiences with CP. I played on PS4, finished the main story with most side missions. Yea there were some bugs but never hindered it for me. The biggest issue imo is they should have either pulled the trigger on next gen exclusive or delayed for 6+ months. Timing is everything. If next gen wasn't released in 2020 I guarantee it would have been a smooth release and we'd be arguing CP as goty candidate if not winner.

  2. I finished a first playthrough of Cyberpunk on Xbox Serie X and absolutly loved it. I'm eagerly waiting for the next gen upgrade to play it again. I completly understand the criticism on the ps4 and xbox one versions, but I trully think there is a great game there and I just hope that the people who want to play it will have the chance to do so.

  3. They're not gone forever if you own them and have them. Everybody acting like they're are being wiped from existence. Nobody wants to go back and buy a vita and play these old games, young people won't. Old people who already played them won't. Nobody really cares. There's physical PS3 games everywhere, easily can go buy a PS3 and games. Can't believe people r acting like it's the gaming apocalypse

  4. Hard to take it serious when two of the editors can’t find their psvita and one hasn’t played it for over 4 years then wonder why Sony is shutting down the store.

  5. LOL at this black guy..
I can under stand if he owns a ps3 and a vita… but since he dont then why is he complaining?
as for SONY i hate that they suck so bad at communication.. no word about their ps3 stores shutting down until its to late.

xbox can keep their fans buying consoles over a HYPE about a game that dont even exist.
xbox one last gen barely had any good games
this gen their fans are so hype about having exclusive that dont even exist yet. no tittles no release dates and phil giving vague answers.
xbox is literally selling rumors and hype.
but sony has none of that.. at least tell us about your plans damit!

  6. Does this StreetGrind guy actually walk around wanting to be named that or is he an adult with an actual name? Also why have this guy on when he hasn't played anything but a few hours of stuff and hasn't owned any of the previous playstation gen. Terrible guest.

  7. Love the show even though it's harder to find since the move. I do believe whoever produces this is napping during the show because Jonathans mike cutting out is almost unbearable. It's never mentioned throughout the show!

  8. Even though played over 800+ hrs with 5 or 6 bugs (sorry PC for 35ish yrs) & had a gr8 time. I have seen many a publisher whims to the mighty $ signs destroy themselves EA. Ubisoft etc. & that's what happened to CP 2077 the top brass / shareholders forced the devs to truncate their whole vision for the game. Plus was there for The Witcher beginnings & they CDPR have lost me as just another money grab studio where the game is a 2ndary thought.

  9. I can't believe that people played and finished the Alpha version of Cyberpunk…My game is still inside the plastic package and I refuse to open it until they fix everything.

  10. 43:45 Is this really where we are as a society where a hipster douche says he doesn't like to play games that have you play as a cop and everyone just nods in agreement or reassures him they don't paint then in a good light? Don't be so weak minded and consider facts before virtue signaling.

  11. What are these badly groomed leftist nerds talking about? CDPR is the largest game studio in Europe… you were wondering how they had the money to buy a studio? What world do you live in? CDPR makes so much money off of GOG…… so much off of Witcher, and then sold over 13 million copies of Cyberpunk…. you must be living in a delusion. You think that CDPR cares that they took a shot and made some mistakes? LOOK AT EVERY BETHESDA GAME!

  12. why does the hipster on the right not want to play as a cop? another lib that thinks he's an expert on handleing criminals yet would poo his pants if he actually had to do it himself?

  13. Not to be critical and everyone has a life outside of work but if you know content is dropping the day after your production why do you not delay it 2 days. Your show is always talking about stuff which is up to a week old by the time you discuss it. It just seems that you use is as an ongoing joke but really its kind of annoying. I mean no offence. Just wondering why.

  14. Just combine the stores or add the content to PlayStation Now which at this stage is dated and not available world wide. Sony need to compete with Microsoft's Game Pass and at this stage they have nothing to offer competition wise which covers all ages and all console types. "What are Sony doing" is the catch phrase by many.
