Ironically its the dlc story that sucks. The characters make you hate them. It’s frustrating and annoying
this game would have been legendary if it had just released finished.
This game was such dogshit on release. Bugged quests left and right, because cars would leave without you, so you'd stay stuck floating in the air in a sitting position, or npcs would refuse to die, so your quests would once again be stuck. So glad the game is in a better state. Bf and I haven't had a bug since we came back to the game.
I love cyberpunk since it's disastrous release and people still don't see the difference between a buggy/broken game to a bad one. CB never was bad, just broken. Thanks to clarify that to some ppl asmon, you rock!
I have BIG complaints for this game:
– The lack of third person mode. Why have appearance customization at all if you can't see your character for 95% of the game?
– The romances are mediocre. Only four options, and I didn't like any of them. Panam might be the best, but doesn't mean I like her that much. Why can't I romance Blue moon for example and I've heard many women like Takemura. They're much better than what we have now.
– There's nudity but not much sexiness. You'd think since you can look whatever you want in this world, women would have enormous breast implants and assess, but they don't. The engine limits breats to two sizes which are small and extra small. In the end it doesn't even matter which you choose, since all clothes are modeled for extra small.
Which brings me to:
– There's not much sexy clothes for female V. We see many NPCs wearing such clothes – even gang members. Why can't we make our character look like Mox for example?
– Cyberware doesn't affect how V looks except for the hands. This is just… What was CD Project Red thinking? Isn't implants big part of the lore?
– Car handling has improved but it's still not great. Breaks suck, motorcycles turn like tanks. There's also hidden boundaries where your vechicle stops immediately and gets stuck. The damage model of the cars is also very limited. They should've asked Bugbear for help to simulate car damage.
– Why can't I store my stolen vechicles?
"You can't unsuck that dick" 😂 Did you hear that Todd?
It actually had pretty good reviews when it launched despite the bugs, all the negativity was mostly from people playing it on last gen consoles and it was definitely warranted.
I played it day one on ps5 and I never had a problem with it but it definitely is way better now
I remember when everyone was shitting on this game on release, it had a lot of bugs but I can honestly say it was my favorite game that year. I was on PC, so maybe that’s why I didn’t have as many game breaking bugs. It was not what they promised but I think half the people wrote it off because of the state it was released. The City itself is amazing, although empty outside of the quests.
I don’t wanna be that guy but I believed in cyberpunk 2077 since day one. Yeah I’ll acknowledge the flaws but look where we are today chooms.
The story, the characters were always 10/10 at launch back in 2019 dec, it was the gameplay, the broken promises and the bugs that ruined it.
I seriously dont understand the overwhelming praise this game is getting at the moment. Yes they have improved it a lot with 2.0 and PL but its still a 6/10 game at best. The pedestrian and traffic AI is fucking dogshit, the game gives you an illusion of choice when its a 100 percent linear story experience, the gangs in the city only exist for you to kill them and have no other function, cant recruit people to your team which is a major part of Cyberpunk Red, which this game is based on… theres a ton of other issues but these ones stand out the most. I DONT FUCKING GET IT
Despite its horrendous console launch those couple years ago, I really enjoyed the game as I played through it twice when it released. Put it on the side and then came back multiple times over the years especially after edgerunners and now with this dlc. By all means it isn’t perfect but it’s damn fun just seeing all the different routes you could take like bg3
"You can't polish a turd"
No Man's Sky
The game may have launched terribly but the devs deserve all the praise for committing to the game, i imagine the game will only get more popular as more ppl get over the launch, its crazy how ppl can bash this game for its launch but turn around and praise the witcher 3 as if that game didn't launch the same as well, the past is the past get over it or let it consume you is what i say
I enjoyed it at launch, but did get sick of the bugs 10 hours in, i came back a few months ago and finished the game, now after watching asmons streams of this i feel like starting again as female V this time, perhaps a hacker run through instead of a brawler.
A game other than WoW where asmon actually likes the story. Now that's saying a lot.
If it came out in Its current form I guess people would say it lived up to the hype
That’s the difference, Cyberpunk had the foundation there to be great with patches. Compared to the likes of Starfield which is fucked on a foundational level. You can’t patch the problems in Starfield. You’d literally have to make a new game.
Asmongold: "Wait, the game is good?"
Those of us who played since launch: "Always has been."
"You're not gonna unsuck that dick" is such a profound statement.
This game’s story has always been a masterpiece, at launch it really was unplayable from a gameplay perspective but now it’s great
The first time I played Cyberpunk was on launch and I had a great time, had my car explode on me 1-2 times but nothing major in the bug department(no t-posing, no falling through ground, nothing). Took days of from work and enjoyed the story to the fullest. Didn't dare go online and read anything cause I didn't want no spoilers etc. Finished the game in a week and it was by far the best thing I played that year. Then I went online and saw the absolute carnage, in retrospect I got lucky cause i just upgraded at the time to current gen hardware and it was probably tested on similar specs so it worked fine. Started seeing the videos of glitches and bugs and the reception it got, I am glad that people are giving it a second chance since the studio more than deserves it.
I had a lot of fun playing Cyberpunk at launch and at the same time it felt unacceptably scuffed but it wasn't a turd to try and polish it was more like an uncut gem
10 hours streaming a game that sucked? I wonder if the levels of light intake is enough to compensate at a later date.
Being insight wears a person down in extended non-exposure to the sunlight or daylight.
I guess it also adds to the experience of the game. Getting annoyed, sensory deprived, yes other stimuli getting neglected.
Asmon streaming outside the house. Wind around the head, barely feeling games to suck ass. And still enjoying any content. I sure dont fit the bill.
Starfield is a bedtime story, boring af
Played it at launch, completed at launch. Some minor bugs, nothing impeding. A good game. Even better now
A lot people who were saying it was shit was just repeating wat someone else said Without experience themselves They just wanna ride the wave .
The real problem is a lot of people like me preordered it and on first release it's "unplayablely" buggy.
Not to mention half of the prologue it's just black screen.
Then the reputation hit rock bottom.
gonna be honest, cyberpunk was pretty fucking good at launch too….if you had it on PC lol. most casual players bought it on console hence the horrible, and justified blowback in 2020.
its the first impression that failed, but if you give the game an another chance you won't regret it.
Even at launch the game was badass, i for instance experience no bugs at all on launch and had such a great time i did four playthroughs of it from start to finish each time taking different choices back to back. Those were cazy couple of weeks. And it has only improved since. And the mods only improve the game even further, over the years there have been some really crazy good mods, like the metro system for instance that bring the game to a whole new level
Cyberpunk was bad when it came out though it wasnt just bugs. like the cop ai was never a bug it was poor design and the fact that the stuff from the heist at the start pritty much gets forgoten about after the first act to the point where i cant even remember if the girl that goes into a coma ever wakes up or not. like if people can enjoy this good for them but for me it will always be a turd no matter how much polish it gets.
