  1. The Aorus 15G has some odd wattage behavior. I have notified Gigabyte and we’re discussing whether or not this is an issue. Performance is what it should be, but stat overlay wattage readings are spiky.

  2. It must be noted that the 3080 Aorus 15G ($1999) is considerably cheaper than an equivalently specced Intel 3070 Mech G3 ($2199 for same storage). Infact 80W “MaxQ” 3080 are mostly priced at $1999 (Zephyrus G15, Aorus 15G). So they’re priced as thinner alternatives to 3070 MaxP.

  3. Insane the 125w 3070 is equal in performance to a 80w 3080 even though it run's quieter to its credit . I'm worried about the watt spikes you mention how long before some circuit/chip on the mobo blows hopefully they sort it out sure it runs ok now but later who knows. Great video Bob.
